Apparently, Freddie Hunt the son of James Hunt wasnt too fond of Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of James Hunt but he praised Daniel Brühl for his portrayal of Niki Lauda. But Daniel actually spent some time with Niki and got to learn who he was as a driver and as a person.
ОтветитьI could listen to Niki talk all day it feels like I’m getting my brain cells back
ОтветитьGraham did not ask the most important question. Was the scene with the two Italians and Nikki’s future wife driving their car for real!!!
ОтветитьAá ele é autriaco né... Aaa e tudo igual, kkkk
ОтветитьSotaque germânico dele é Massa!!!! Prece o swarzenegger falando😂😂😂
ОтветитьMy favourite driver of all time. The best driver? Don't know, who cares. He is a hero, one of the bravest sportsmen there has ever been. What he overcame, what he achieved in adversity, for me he will never be surpassed.
ОтветитьI bought Rush on DVD several years agi . I think it's brilliant , and both actors not only looked like therir characters , they sounded pretty much like them as well
ОтветитьNot a bad score. Hard to recreate the past perfectly
ОтветитьFor me also 80% wrong the Academy not giving an Oscar to Daniel Brühl. Amazing movie.
ОтветитьIt was definitely far too hollywood unfortunately. Lauda was right to be concerned.
ОтветитьRIP Mr. Comupter Massive Respect!!
ОтветитьHim saying that "Rush" was 80% accurate is awesome tribute to his 20% risk rule mentioned in the movie.
ОтветитьNikki Lauda the ultimate GOAT
ОтветитьNiki🏎️🐐
ОтветитьSighhh okay I guess I’ll watch rush again
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies of all time
ОтветитьI didn't know about Niki until I saw him on this show unfortunately. He truly lived the life and was a incredible racer. Rest in peace sir
ОтветитьAfter seeing this interview, I'd say Brühl nailed the part. Talks exactly the same.
ОтветитьIt's interesting how Lauda, may he rest in peace, here confirmed how important music is in movies. He remarked twice how the tone of the movie was different when it had no music.
Too heavy, too cold and negative. And yet, with the right editing and the music, it drove a lot of emotions.
RIP Niki you legend!
ОтветитьStill think of you often Nikki.
ОтветитьI think Niki Lauda saying that it was 80% true about the best compliment you were going to get.
ОтветитьIt's incredible that this guy was so good that he still had the chance the win the 1976 championship despite not having been able to race for a long time due to his accident and then retired from the last race due to the horrible conditions of the track.
ОтветитьThe man was worried about the correct order of getting suited up to drive the race car in the movie. Niki obviously was a man of great detail. Regardless of what you might think it's what separated him from the rest of the competition and made him a legend.
ОтветитьJust watched it. I can’t stand racing anymore and can relate to both drivers being a champion as well. Movie was well done and the race Niki stepped out felt the same the day I hung it up. Only miss small parts of it but don’t miss the big picture and work it was. I have nothing to prove. I came I won and did it for myself. You either want to do it to prove to everyone or you want it for you. Which one are you? Maybe neither. Enjoy the ride…
ОтветитьIt's not right how so many American passerby don't know who Niki Lauda is. Almost ashamed to say I didn't know who he was before this movie. We really are kind of isolated from international sports here.
ОтветитьWhat an incredible legend Lauda was, and will always be. Not having him around is an enormous loss, as if there is a big chunk of Formula One missing. I believe Daniel Brühl did a very good job portraying the great Niki Lauda, and when he did the post accident scenes, especially speaking German, the resemblance was quite remarkable. I am proud to have seen Niki Lauda race in front of my eyes in all the teams he raced, from 1973 to 1984.
ОтветитьLegends lives for ever...
ОтветитьBruhl nailed that cadence
ОтветитьA little known story which Niki repeats in this interview. Many years after they stopped racing Niki met James in London,James was down on his luck financial problems, disheveled not in a good place.Niki gave him some money,Bollocked him, told him to pull himself together he did the act of a friend not just a competitor.a great man RIP Niki
ОтветитьHe even has a bit of an overbite like Nikki.
ОтветитьThe interview with Daniel Bruhl where he describes being grilled by Lauda over the phone is worth watching. ;)
ОтветитьGood evening IR NIKI,see my movement's and It WIP, IR Niki, now for your movement sir,for Air transport Movement's.Under Air Bus.
ОтветитьIt’s funny to hear Lauda talk about how he felt the movie made him look like a jerk. It’s watching this movie that started my obsession with Lauda, I was in love by the end of the movie.
ОтветитьWait the guy who is talking is not Daniel?!
ОтветитьFirst half of the movie was boring. The movie gets amazing right before his crash.
ОтветитьOh no, now I have to watch it again
ОтветитьBack when F1 was great and the cars were driven by real men. As Hunt said in the movie "The cars were flying coffins".
Rush is definitely atleast one of the best racing movies of all time. It is still broadcasted on our free channels rather regularly and even though I have already seen it 5 times atleast it's still a blast to watch every time.
RIP Niki and James!
We miss you Legend!!
ОтветитьTalent and risk taking do not make arrogance attractive.
ОтветитьThought experiment, imagine if this guy had Mercedes and Niki Lauda in charge of his team!
Many more wins and championships!
I tell you what the one thing the movie got right.
Niki and his fucking percentages
Niki said it was friendship, not rivalry.
ОтветитьThe movie was awesome and I had no idea about these guys along with the sport as well. It’s a beautiful movie that will bring tears to your eyes.
ОтветитьIt's ironic considering Daniel bruhl played such a role so well and still didn't get big budget movies. Hollywood is really full of shit.
ОтветитьLauda comes off as very wise/smart with the way he speaks and what he says.
ОтветитьLet's be honest, he probably was a bit of a dick on the job (in the best possible meaning of the term), but that was a good thing given the circumstances, that's how you have to be if you want to be the best at something, or bring yourself up after a horrifing accident that would have destroyed the conviction of most. A likable personality very rarely brings you to the top in highly competitive environments.
That's why there are thousands of extremely talented pilots, athletes, entrepreneurs, but very few that reach those heights. Mindset, personality, hunger, all those combined mostly result in a not very likable attitude, but make you succeed.
comes across as a very genuine and reasonable person.
ОтветитьDaniel Bruhl totally nailed the accent and cadence of Niki's voice. A very good movie imo even if it's not 100% accurate.
