I wonder if farts were funny in prehistoric times when early Homo Sapiens would sit around the fire and fart after eating that day's catch... like in that famous Blazing Saddles scene. 🤔

What I love about this is that even as Peter Sellers is re-telling the story he’s really struggling to keep it together just talking about what happened.

The saddest thing about this clip, is that its missing about 3 minutes!
The original 'it will be alright on the night' clip had at LEAST six takes, which got progressively more and more funny - this is such a shame showing it this way.

Always takes me back to the Britannia Cinema, Great Yarmouth, where I first saw this scene. Couldn't stop laughing; neither could most other people there.

Think of how the other three actors in this scene must reminisce about this today. Doing a scene like this with Peter Sellers and laughing with him … It must’ve been the highlight of all their careers.
