I can't believe how good this radio feels // RADIOMASTER BOXER REVIEW

The best thing about the Boxer is the Gimbals. The worst thing is the rotary encoder. Use your thumb to select an option, then press and ocassionally you will select an adjacent option. Really not that nice.

This radio looks badass with the Ag01 gimbles and the metal buttons. I wonder too if it will fit better in my hands but I love the Tx16s

I was a game style radio fan until I held a boxer....now I'm buying a boxer after checking out my buddies haha

I bought a TX16S JB Edition and I literally love it (it is gorgeous)... but as my daily driver I tend to use a Jumper T-Lite ELRS, simply because I won't cry if I by any chance it gets lost, stolen or destroyed.

So when I went to the affiliate sites to buy it, it does so mode 1 and mode 2, so what is the difference?

8 month later and still no Max version besides the recent Rotor Riot version? That's wild.

😒so foolish me was finding out if i had an update on the tango 2 pro and while it was plugged in i disconnected it and now controller wont even turn on what happen ,,,,is there a way of fixing this other than to get a new mother board

It’s sad because this radio is what the mambo should of been. I was excited about flashing elrs to it and nope trappy would get so angry when asked about that.

ill pass on this one.. The tx16s has everything I need in a current radio.. I think it feels great in the hand, and I love the large screen.. I wont be looking for a new radio until ive literally burnt it out..

can anyone suggest me with a good tlrs reciever (for good range and less latency) that i can bind with this radiomaster boxer without much hustle just by seeing your elrs setup guide as this is my first fpv build!!!

RM is great. But this one doesn't fit me in the least. 😮 Guess you gotta try'm on 1st. Switches are not in the right place. (for me) Zorro's switches are right where they need to be. (again, for me) And Zorro's 4 momentary switches are well placed and I get can get to all of them without searching.... so I'll be sticking with the Zorro and the 16S Mk2. Glad to see RM is releasing good radios and receivers.

Can this also be used with the DRL simulator. Want a good starting point for a transmitter that can serve multiple purposes with lots of options.

Can I bind my Eachine e130 helicopter with this Boxer radio transmitter thru it's 4 in 1 mode just like the radiomaster tx16s?

The TX12 only has one USB port, so I'm not sure why they haven't carried on doing that.

I understand you can swith from mode 2 to mode 1 in the software on this radio. But can you physically alter the gimbals to throttle on the right stick (ratcheting) and elevator / ailerons on the left stick (self-centering)?

I stepped away from my drones for 5 or 6 years and I've got the bug to upgrade my tricopter this spring. Everything has changed. I need a new receiver, have a moded 9x with frsky djt module, there's no compatible receiver still in production. I think this may be the solution.

This review here is the reason I decided to ditch my frsky radio and get a taste of the new hot ELRS future.

I liked the size of my old X9 lite, but I've had no complaints with the size of my TX16S, with exception of traveling with it. It doesn't fit well in my backpack.

Quite an interesting hobby these fpv quads it seems - a newbie here. Would this radio work with my PC/windows 11, so I could practise on Velocidrone, before committing or not to purchasing real drone and googles?

I rather have two USB-C ports. I can use a fast charger instead overloading my PC USB port while flying the simulator.

Just replaced my old trusty, crossfire modded Qx7. I had M7 and M7-R gimbals there, silicon skin, metal stand, custom stick ends, tracer module.
Ordered the ELRS Boxer, instantly fell in love with it the moment I held it.

That controller has so much going on for it. Yes! the form factor is so much more comfortable compared to ANY other radio I have held.
The gimbals feel smooth, the switches feel clicky, The battery lasts such a long time.

EdgeTX lets you customize the start/stop delay where you have to hold the button forever, which I hate on OpenTX.
All in all, the Boxer makes me enjoy flying a lot more.
