[Doom players have... not entered the chat, they're too busy playing Doom]
ОтветитьVisually, Fallout New Vegas showed its age when it first came out🤣 in 2010.
Had any stopped it from remaining the best and most popular Fallout game
I realized a few months back that I had unintentionally transitioned fully to fallout 4. I love this game, but the age and the engine has it's limits. Hundreds of hours, you've earned your spot as my number 1 favorite game of all time, but it's time to uninstall you and let you rest, old friend.
ОтветитьMy favorite video games die with me. I'm taking every quote I ever learned from them and use them religiously. I will quote Sly Cooper and Ratchet & Clank till the day I die, give or take 50 feet. See! I just did it there. And if anyone deigns otherwise, I will be more than happy to R.Y.N.O
As far as I'm concerned, these oldies are GREASY sweet!
Unless it’s witcher 3 then there’s so much money somehow that the studio just re-does the graphics every five years. (Seriously though where does the money come from)
ОтветитьWell Captain Jack was exactly right. If I had a dollar for every time I wanted to saddle a horse pack my guns leash my dog and ride out I wouldn't have to work anymore . Problem is I can't afford the taxes on running away either 🤣
ОтветитьHonestly, incredible combination.
ОтветитьThe funny thing is I think the color filter made it age the poorest. Just modding that out, to make the other colors pop, makes it look substantially better.
ОтветитьI had to download 120 mods to get New Vegas into what I would consider an enjoyable state in 2023
It’s well beyond showing it’s age, it’s prehistoric lol
Still one of the GOATs tho
Titanfall 2 players
ОтветитьShow it's age??? New Vegas era didnt even start, it's gonna bloom in 2025!
ОтветитьJack and Barbosa are cool
ОтветитьI cannot run Fallout 3 or New Vegas without crashing despite the hours and hours of work and GBs of patches or bug fixes I download.
FOSE isn't even up to date with the current build of FO3 on Steam. I need to invest in a $30 laptop from 2011.
Vera Keyes stole my heart
ОтветитьI like that you positioned them exactly so that Jack Sparrow heads straight into the saloon
ОтветитьAnd the classic game with the overhaul mod is probably still 100 times better than the latest in the series. Or, for that matter, the "official" attempt at a remake or remastered edition.
ОтветитьFor me , vanilla NV is still pretty damn good . I could go back , play it , and still enjoy it. Sucks to see others can’t.
ОтветитьI remember when I first got wii sports resorts the swordplay feature always felt so real to me. Now years later with VR it just feels so surreal to see how far technology has gone since then. Still it's fun to revisit those experiences
ОтветитьGood old Skyrim... it's time for me to move on. Maybe there will be a TES6 in the future for me.
ОтветитьJack Sparrow is a comedic character.
ОтветитьMan of all the dialogues in Pirates, this is to me one of the saddest.
ОтветитьEven today, this is the only Fallout game I can come back to and keep playing. Fallout: NV took everything that was good about the previous games, added a few touches of its own and became its own buggy, but oh so addictive mess. The sequel games never quite recaptured that magic and probably never will.
The game might age, but my love for it never will. I don't even need mods to come back to it and make it feel fresh. It never looked fresh to begin with, even when it was just released. This game captured something more. Something magical. Some games just stick in your heart forever on their own and this game is on that list.
This is why i reinstalled FO4... once Starfield lands it's curtains on the mods over for the most part i suspect. We have some crazy ones in development but man they are long in.
Ответить-The world used to be a bigger place.
-The worlds still same, there's just less in it.
In this case, sometime around 2010
ОтветитьI honestly believe games are timeless and any generation can at them
Ответитьthis is exactly how I feel about NV. Put 500 hours into it back in the day but I just can't get into it anymore. It's so damn clunky and ugly.
Ответить"World's still the same, just less in it" this line of dialogue speaks more about the history of mankind than most history books say.
ОтветитьFirst real game I played was Gears of War 2, looked so fresh and realistic back then, now it looks much different to me.
ОтветитьLuckily, I like the feel of the middle-age Fallouts(3 and NV).
I guess they remind me of Oblivion. Just a classic sorta feel.
especially in fallout new vegas where the things you do barley has any effect on the game world apart from getting hit by assasin groups now and then. fallout 3 is way better to that aspect whit random encounters you never know whats over the hill.
ОтветитьI know, its still beautiful
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьThat’s me still playin tes oblivion
ОтветитьI've said this countless times in countless places: Games don't age well or poorly, they were either always good or always bad
The game never changed, your standards did. When you played a game when you were young, you hadn't played as many games, so to you, that game seemed amazing, but as you played more games and you began to shape your sense of aesthetic, those games you played when you were young don't seem as good compared to better games you've played since then.
Conversely, as your standards for aesthetic become more developed, you might appreciate some older games more, as you understand the artistic vision that went into them, and why some artistic decisions were made, and how they shaped your own personal aesthetic preferences.
People have this bad habit of conflating technological advancement and the aesthetics/mechanics of games. It's easy to do, as they are so inextricably linked, but ultimately artistic aesthetic lives far beyond the techniques used to create it. Games that try to look "realistic" with the latest fancy bells and whistles look like crap after about 5 years because they tied entirely to the technology that made them and are artistically uninteresting.
So in short, the fallout games always looked like shit, you are just finally noticing.
Funny thing is that "Fallout: New Vegas" was my first game for my PS3, and I played it a lot! Then I bought a computer: guess what! Yes, I bought it also on Steam❤️
ОтветитьThis is the same with Skyrim for me
Ответитьuh. happened to me last year when I re install NV and modded it to the teeth after a couple of years...couldn't pass the prision.
ОтветитьAdulting in a nutshell
ОтветитьWe need a movie thats just dedicated to Jack's past
ОтветитьSad that young gamers will pass up the best Fallout for this reason.
ОтветитьI'm playing through New Vegas right now and I've never played a game where I wanted a remake as badly as for this one. It's so ambitious but you can feel how the tech is holding it back. When I think about the feel of games like RDR2 or Cyberpunk and ask myself what it would be like to give New Vegas that kind of treatment ... can't think of anything I want more lol
ОтветитьMe to Wario in sm64 ds:
ОтветитьUs still playing the oldies feeling older
ОтветитьNew Vegas showed its age the moment it came out.
ОтветитьFind a mod that lets you make Tunneler Hide gear? NEW PLAYTHROUGH!
Find a mod that increases the yield on Junk Rounds? NEW PLAYTHROUGH!
Find a mod that lets you make Nails in higher quantities? NEW PLAYTHROUGH!
Find a mod that allows Break Action weps and DM Revolver to be effected by Cowboy/girl? NEW PLAYTHROUGH!
Find a mod that lets metal armor/power armor to get repaired by forks, scrap and spoons? NEW PLAYTHROUGH!
Jiggle physics and bikini armor tho, the worlds always a better place.
God i fuckin love POTC so much, i was born a few days before the first one came out so. Its been with me forever lol
ОтветитьMy favorite game was old when I started playing it. It just turned 30 this June. All I ever wanted out if a game…
ОтветитьFallout nv wasnt one i played often, but there are loads of games out there that i did and wish we could...idk go back to then, or juat see those games updated
