A good summary for those of us without the time/aptitude to read the entire report. Thanks for showing appreciation for technicians (etc.) in ADDITION to the scientists. Do you have any plans you'd like to highlight that address the drastic & immediate changes needed? Do you feel one party (if you want to "touch" this issue before the election 😂) or something like, for example, The Leap's Green New Deal are respectable/realistic ideas? Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks for ANOTHER thoughtful video!
ОтветитьI asked my teacher to play this for our environment class!
ОтветитьI really love you vlog! Now im subscribing at you YT cause i want to learn more from you. I am student taking BS Environmental Science 🤗🤗
ОтветитьWell at least they learned to kick the predictions down the road 100 years because all their other predictions failed so badly that the computer models lost all credibility.
ОтветитьHi Kristina
I love your videos so much🥰 Also I feel so inspired to become an environmental scientist one day. But lately I have some doubts and fears because as I learn more about climate change and inform myself about what is happening I get really anxious and feel like I need to do something. I’m afraid that as the climate change is growing and growing, people in green jobs are feeling super stressed for not finding an instant solution. Could that be true? I mean could an environmental scientist get depressed or feel hopeless throughout his entire career as he knows so much but can’t solve instant the problem?
As a scientist what do you think of solar flares and flare cycles ?
ОтветитьStaggering, just staggering, and yet, the Republican Party remains in denial; worse, they're on track to seize the US Government as 2022 and 2024 elections are gerrymandered in their favor. They will then hold the purse strings and legal decisions indefinitely. Think of Exxon sitting in two of the cabinet seats.
ОтветитьWhat about population?
ОтветитьCan you recommend me a book about environmental science for a beginner, please🥺 ( by the way I love you videos sooo much. You're my inspiration!!)
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this! I don’t keep up with news often so it was really good to see a favorite scientist explain the report. I’ve been watching you for a few years and I’m a sophomore in a wildlife program now. just had my first research field experience. Keep sharing! It’s a dark topic but it’s the truth. It’s really so sad to hear about the oceans. The more you talk about this the more people will know and the closer we get to keep the global temp down ❤️
ОтветитьHi Kristina, How Are You.
Actually I m your Biggest fan..you Are So amazing and you are my Biggest Inspiration.Thank You So Much
Kristina, I like To Introduce Myself.
I M rocky 20 yr old, I m Doing my Bsc.wildlife Biology third year In India.
Actually I like To do My PG degrees in other Countries And I don't know which country should i have to Go with Free Education Scholarship Ship .
Can U please Tell Me Which Is The Good place and university with Free scholarship For My PG degree Kristina ?
Hoping for your Reply.......
Thank You Soo Much 🙂🌈

The only way positive change on the planet will happen, is if all of US around the world decide NOW to make changes in our life. Btw I disagree that technology is ever going to be the answer as it has been the downfall of MANY different species of homosapiens on this planet for as long as Earth has held our kind of biological life upon it. The only way we can go backwards from what we have done is going back to more of a natural state of living and I doubt that is ever going to happen. Everyone is mentally stuck on the myth that technology is the answer when it is not.
ОтветитьHey, you may not see this comment but Id like to say that your work fascinates me and Id like to thank you for inspiring me to become a wildlife biologist. Really, thanks a lot <3
ОтветитьIf we don't go vegan and stop animal agriculture our planet will be destroyed after 2050 when the fishing industry destroys the ocean ecosystems. It's the leading cause of climate change, animal extinction, and modern environmental destruction.
ОтветитьI love love hearing and reading stories like this there's nothing more drastic and more important and more of a goal than reducing carbon footprints I worry that my grandchildren will face a burden so tough and so disastrous that they may not I need to see their own grandchildren prosper.
ОтветитьI'm really interested in soil biology. Do you know where or how I can learn more about soils?
Ответитьpolitical BS
ОтветитьI’m into offroading and one of your vids came up the one where the creepy guy Jack came on your tent……I gotta say wow how lucky you are cus Jack couldve killed you or raped you. Seriously that story is crazy, I wouldve had a gun on me or a knofe beforehand, then you go back to sleep!!! Omg.

This is a complicated situation for all of us and there's no simple solution. It involves so much more than any of us can fathom or see. The fate of the planet and it's well being will fall into the hands and control of the most influential and richest players who have whatever interests in mind that suit them. BTW. I saw your video about the scariest camping experience. I live in Pennsylvania and have a concealed carry permit with reciprocity in most states. I don't know anyone that would go camping today that would be caught without carrying some effective means of protection. At least you have a knife. I'd still hate to have to fend off a bear with a knife though, but you do the best with what you have. You sound like you'd enjoy learning bushcraft techniques. You might enjoy watching Survival Lilly or Wild Woman Bushcraft or even Dave Canterbury. Dave has a school in Ohio that teaches wilderness survival including herbal medicine and metal forging.
ОтветитьI guess we have to sell our Miami Beach house... but wait the water was supposed to trash the house like 5 years ago? hmmmmm.......
ОтветитьHello dear Kristina Lynn!
Im a MSc student of Environmental Engineering.Wanna devote myself to improve our environment, would like to ask you to make a video about way of searching internships, maybe what to do for the first step especially for those who graduates or in the process of looking for a job etc. Thanks!Always watching your videos!
Thank you for explaining this so clearly. I'm studying Conservation Biology masters at the moment and learning about all this. I always feel like I am not doing enough to change things, and the more I learn the more helpless I feel. You are doing amazing work. Thank you for the motivation!

Are you single? You're very attractive!
Ответитьhi it's me jack....
ОтветитьWhat a woman. Reminds me of the racist hippies in san francisco
Ответитьcould u do a vid on climate change jobs? my uni has a really good "bachelor of applied climate change adaptation" and I'm thinking of changing to that from environmental studies but idk do u need a masters for those jobs?? i don't really wanna do research lol I just wanna make pretty maps💕✨ and be outside🐸🌳🍂
ОтветитьHello , I am from Algeria and an engineer in forest sciences, without any experience, how can I get a job in the field of animal protection
ОтветитьI just saw your creepy camping story video from 3 years ago, and I HAD to come here to leave a comment coz the comments to that video were turned off: kudos to both of you guys, but especially you, for keeping it together and not freaking the f out and booking out of there right the f away!! You’re waaaaay more courageous than I could ever be!! Whatta f was Jack doing?!!! Creep!! I am SO SO SO GLAD you guys came out unscathed!! How horrifying!! I wouldn’t even have packed up my stuff; I would have RAN to civilization right away!! Smart (knife purchase!!) AND brave!! ❤️❤️❤️
Btw- why the heck did that video get so many 👎??? People looove to hate and think they could do better! Moronic haters! I loved that video so much, I ended up subscribing to your channel!❤️❤️❤️
Ha! Smart AND beautiful AND educated!! AND compassionate!! I friggin love you!!❤️❤️❤️
Ответитьi was thinking what if she quotes lotr AND U DID OK SOULMATE
ОтветитьHave you ever thought about how during the Permian period earth had significant higher levels of carbon, higher temperatures, no ice caps, and a thriving ecosystem! much more so than today! MOREEE CARBON PLEASE
ОтветитьAs geology man and environmental man who is more concerned with loss of habitat (especially in the Amazon forest) I find this video ridiculous. The earths temperatures naturally fluctuate with the changing revolution of our planet around our hydrogen, helium burning star. We only have recorded temperatures for about 150 years and the accuracy of those temperatures are suspect. The hottest recorded temperature in the State of Oregon was in 1898 at 119 degrees long before the gasoline engine and the oil industry. Hottest recorded temperature in Alaska was in 1915. What is the percentage of CO2 in our atmosphere ? Are you kidding me ? We are not the planet Venus with a volcanic 99 percent CO2 atmosphere. In 20,000 years we will be headed back towards a deep freeze again and another ice age will be on its way. Why would anyone want to tear up our planet to make billions of batteries ? How are you going to charge these battery cars ? What fuel will power the plants that charge these cars ?
ОтветитьThank you for this! 💙 Sometimes I try to tell others about this but they choose not to be more aware of these issues.
Ответитьvery well said! Our climate is changing and warming naturally, but as you pointed out, humans are accelerating the warmer temperature patterns. Here in Sask its a concept not many people understand.
ОтветитьThis sounds like al gores predictions , they were all wrong , and just ment to create fear....you like lord of the rings ? one ring to rule them all , sounds a little like the un , who was the evil guy from the rings ? sauron ? mmm , interesting your data comes from the un , who want to control the world ? your thoughts ? they say art imitates life...
ОтветитьAgree with your presentation. I’m 71 and likely won’t be around when the worst of the negative effects begin to hit home. Never heard of ozone or climate change through my teen years. Now my three grandchildren will be around to bear brunt of humanity’s worse which is unfair to them. Although you were precise and mostly avoided big words, unfortunately this subject is complicated and I lack faith that most people seriously consider the seriousness of climate change.
ОтветитьEarth is flat and non moving come to Nathan Oakley 1980 and learn.
ОтветитьScience only determines cause to an effect. Research and statistics do all the other stuff
ОтветитьGas will never lump in a vacuum. Modern "science" says it does. Hard to argue with entropy.
ОтветитьClimate change will never stop because of greed. The desire for wealth overrides everything else to these sorry politicians. That’s all political parties. The left and right are corrupt to the highest degree until we stop letting them divide us we will never see true change.
ОтветитьThank you for your overview on the report. This does not sound discouraging to me, but makes me want to look into it more. I know I don't know enough to convince others and politicians about what is going on, but that's why I want to learn (I will probably watch this video another couple times). Whenever people want to hang out with me I can slip in my words on this matter so...there! No but really I can't wait to work with scientists in the field. I have been catching your videos to get an idea of what I will be getting into. Even the hardships sound pretty ok to me and worth it. I did think the other day about how the warming seems inevitable but we don't have to let it get so hot so fast. It already seems really dangerous.
Ответитьthe sea level rise is the least of our problems. You mention an IPCC start date of 1840? Industrial pollution started in the late 1700s so that means the temperature increase is warmer than 1840. Also the report ignores the Aerosol Masking Effect is twice as bad as previously thought meaning a 40% decrease in coal pollution (sulfur) will heat earth another 1 degree Celsius global average. Also the ESAS Methane "bomb" is already going off in the arctic and will keep getting worse - that will heat earth another 1 degree Celsius global average. Otherwise thanks for caring.
ОтветитьVery easy to reverse and also ammend these horrors: Depopulation
They have soil extinction happening in a very short time so perhaps the earth is safe.
Climate Change does not exist! Biggest lie of all time!!
ОтветитьWhat a joke! No such thing as man made climate change. The earth has been going through periods of warming and cooling for billions of years and it will continue to do so long after man kind is gone!
ОтветитьIn the 1970s they predicted that we would live in a new ice age by now... i would be cautious about anything the IPCC says. If you feed your computer models with bad/lackluster data you get bad/lackluster results, especially when ignoring the sun, the engine of our climate.
Warmer is better than colder, global climate has yet to reach the temperature it had during Roman times when it was 2 degrees warmer than today (without industry & cars...figures °wink °wink). Compare that to the times when it got colder, like the little Ice Age during medieval times, which caused so much famine and bad health that something like the bubonic plague could devastate mankind.
IPCC predicted complete melting of noth pole ice within 5-8 year in Kopenhagen in 2009..
So you cannot even trust IPCC's predictions for a periode of 5 years...
