I was at.a Michael Davis show in London in the late 80s. He asked for a juggler from the audience. I knew there were other (better) jugglers there, and it took some time, but eventually, I ended up on stage and participated in the 3 food groups number. In my case, the protein food group was a large octopus! So by the end we were having a juggling competitin with a loaf of bread, margarine and a very slippery octopus. Pure chaos - my brain melted and by that point I had completely forgotten how to juggle large objects! I was game enough to catch the margarine on my head though!
I've told the story many times, but I never knew the routine had been filmed. This really brought back memories! 😂
Happy birthday paul 😊
ОтветитьBack when comedy, and talent in general, were the real deal. Also, he sounds like Neil Young whe he sings, lol.
ОтветитьThe act with the "food groups" is pure David Letterman. Only Dave would let anyone be so silly on primetime television.
ОтветитьThe lack of laughter was awkward...
ОтветитьГений !
❤️🫠🤙
"That makes eight all together.....but why bore you with my problems?"....😂😂😂😂😂☠️
ОтветитьHe seems like a very humbling person
ОтветитьThis guy's swagger.
ОтветитьCan't believe that I went through the 80,s and didn't see this man. So funny so talented, Brilliant.
ОтветитьI have seen so many of his exact moves and lines duplicated over and over by street performers. A true trend setter!!
ОтветитьMichael Davis would have been an amazing SNL cast member
ОтветитьHe reminds me a bit of a cleaner, more multi-talented Bob Saget.
ОтветитьMr Bill Cosby was.... stopping there
ОтветитьEarly Dave looks like he might be Michael Shannon's cousin or something lol
ОтветитьWhat theatre critic does he speak of in the gutter?
ОтветитьI used to listen to Michael Davis when I drove long distance, from state to state. Loved him.
ОтветитьOMG, I had completely forgotten about Michael Davis! He is hilarious...
Ответитьthe face he makes when his hat lands... I wanna learn that.
ОтветитьTwelve and a half minutes without commercials. Was TV ever really like that?
Ответитьi watched several of his shows... then i realized he kept repeating the same jokes... same lyrics... everytime...
ОтветитьHe is WaaoW
Ответитьabsolute legend
Ответитьperfect save. "its kinda windy in here" lmao
ОтветитьMichael Davis was so amazing
ОтветитьThe Steven Wright of Juggling...lol.
ОтветитьThanks for the video.
Ответитьballs joke was hilarious "why bore you with my problems"
ОтветитьThe creativity, warm't and calm are what makes Michael Davis performances so engaging
ОтветитьHe was/is very talented & funny guy. There are a lot of standup comics running around today. And very few of them are very funny. This sort of act is sorely missed.
ОтветитьMichael Davis= if Mark Knopfler and Charles Grodin had a baby.
ОтветитьGlad to see he is alive and performed as recent as 6 years ago. I do not know if he still does. If anyone knows please @ me. I live in CA and i know he was in SF
ОтветитьBrillant 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьAnn Miller was a babe
Ответитьso talented 😻🙏🏻
ОтветитьWhat a talent!
Ответитьcool thanks for sharing
ОтветитьMakes 8 all together!🤔🤣🤣 it took me a second 😆😆
ОтветитьI don’t think Letterman liked that he brought out the liver. Not surprised this was his last appearance.
ОтветитьWell beat my nuts
ОтветитьHey, md fans, help me find his lecture about a corporation director...watched it once...subtly hilarious. Cant find it anywhere regardless, seemingly. Tyvm
ОтветитьI just got Michael Davis videos in my feed. Love his shows, why did we not hear more of him in earlier years ?
Wish we had more of these entertainments today.
This guy was genius. He challenged his audiences and didn’t pander. I always love how uncomfortable he can make the crowd.
ОтветитьI feel as tho I'm too young to fully appreciate this
Ответитьthis man know how to recover
ОтветитьMD was really good. I wonder why we never really saw much of him after the late 80s or so? Seems like there's a story there.
