UNPLAYABLE GAME WIDE STUTTERING in Starfield if you do THIS!!

Comically large outpost. No wonder.

Yeah i'm starting to get this. only got three bases on 1 planet, small bases. Decent pc hardware so fuck knows whats going on here.

Wow. Yes. I have been going crazy with my interconnected outposts. And I am stuttering. I thought it was my save file size I deleted almost all of the saves.
Still a stutter.
I was just thinking of turning off the outposts. Just disconnecting the cargo links. And maybe I will delete the power generators. Everything is full anyway. No real reason to extract more stuff. And keep the outposts until Bethesda fix this issue.

I play on a Series S and I began to recognise this issue eventually, at the end of my first playthrough I couldn't play for more than a couple of hours before the game locks up, go to NG+ and it's smooth, can play as long as I desire.

After I build my first outpost, standard storage facility, I began to see the same instability issues from my first playthrough and the more outposts I create the less longevity performance I have, to see this happening on a high end PC leads me to believe that this is a coding issue and not a hardware problem.

Well bro I got to the point where it was unplayable and haven't played in 3 days so I'm hoping when I get home this fixes it for me.. it's definitely not your hardware because I play across three different systems. I play on the computer at work, I play on my brand new Xbox series X at home that has one game on it (starfield) and I play also on my phone through game pass and I never had an issue till about 2 weeks ago and it definitely coincides with me building outposts.

I deleted all my outposts and still stuttering. I'm just not able to play the game anymore and im not starting a new save because i spent almost 200 hours on my other save. Guess I'm just done playing this game unless Bethesda can fix our saves. I can't get mine to stop 😢.

Holy Crap! I've been going crazy about this for the last week! Disabling my cargo links got rid of the stutter immediately. Thanks! I had been pricing out a new video card because I kept seeing the GPU go to 100% while FPS dropped to 1. At the same time, my CPU stayed at just few %. I tweaked the display setting away from Ultra. Changed the FOV. Nothing fixed it. This. This fixed it.

Trying running the game as admin. Had issues with stuttering, freezes and desynced dialogue and this fixed it for me.

One issue I have with the game is not being able to see all 4 of my ships on the landing pad at my outpost. Or at least the game shouldn't move your cargo when you switch ships. Like lets say I got 2 ships one for cargo runs the other for combat my cargo ship can hold 10k cargo my fighter can hold 300 cargo when I switch from my hauler to my fighter the 10k cargo in my hauler shouldn't automatically go into my fighters cargo hold.

Man I was really getting into outpost building, it was so much fun, had only made 7 farms and they were all small scale, game quality became so poor I couldn't even wait on venus for 1 hour without a hard crash. This really takes the wind out my sails for endgame, I think I'm going to go for all achievements and then just call it with this game. Honest 5.5/10 game, not hating but after 89 hours I really did want to rate it higher but I just can't, there's just way too many areas of this game that are either just broken or so poorly thoughtout that they aren't even worth playing :/

I have deleted all my cargo links in every outpost and I still have unplayable game stutter. It happens almost everywhere I play. I have changed settings, made sure everything is updated. Isolated only the starfield game files on a high end SSD drive. I make sure I do not have too many saves in the save folder.... At this point. I am about to go and just delete all outposts completely and see what happens.

The word you're looking for is microstutter

This is the same problem from fallout 4 because it’s the same game with a new skin on it.

I have a ship with 7000 cargo and is near full, the only time I've experienced that "freeze" is when I go to open the ship cargo, the freeze is directly related to how much stuff is in the cargo. So I assume the freezing your experiencing is related to the automatic cargo transfer between the ships landing and taking off from outposts.

I broke a small outpost I made, storage was by my big ship builder and moved beacon between them and when I spawned in I was between all 3, not stuck or anything but opening my scanner made me freeze and eventually the outpost vanished but still said I was there while in space looking at the planet but even running to it it froze 185 meters from it

I have stuttering in the last week with no outpost finished

Idk if anyone else is having this issue but ever since I reset to new game plus some of my maxed skill have reverted on paper back to rank one. Like my shield for my ship are suppose to have a 60% increase and its base. I can only have 6 outpost people and 3 robot instead of 12 and 6. Idk what's going on.

stuttering is created because of the extra items that these enormous product making camps make . they are not part of the original game but the game has got to work harder in trying to remember all the extra products created .
