SwiftUI Buttons (Lesson 10)

This video explaining all the different ways to write the Closures for buttons cleared up confusion I didn't know I even had about using a trailing Closure or writing the code within the parameter ( ) - Thanks !

I discovers this channel by looking for a way to add buttons to SwiftUI

The Button instance with closure confused me, and the trailing closure is the syntax I expected so by trying to not confuse me, you confused me. Lol!

I have been following the course and it's pretty simple. However, for some reason, printing to the console doesn't seem to work the same way as you demonstrated. Nothing appears (yes, I have activated the console).

Even if I am a year late, these videos can still be used. Thank you for keeping my summer busy!👍

You are a good instructor, but this video alone doesn't help me. I do not know where to put the VStack within a folder, if only in ViewController? Plus if it worked it would make a random button. I want to know how to push changes to a Button already created. Anyway thanks, now i'm off to watch another video.

I am trying to get a button in Swift or Xcode to run AppleScript code when pressed, is this possible?

Hey Chris, I’m having a little trouble. Even though my button is associated with a print action, it only prints when I’m running a simulator and not in live preview. I know I’ve got the console open, I doubled checked by going through View -> Debug Area -> Activate Console. It’s not a super big problem because I can use the simulator, just kinda annoying. Any ideas on how I can get it to work like yours?

First start? Jan. 8, 2022. Have never coded before. Did some HTML and such, but no coding. Just finished the War Game today, Jan 27, 2022. Hoping to create a Reset Button, and some animation to show when a player (either the player or the cpu) reaches a total score of 21.

How come when I click on action label for Button it looks different than what you had, it says action: () -> Void, label: () -> _ ??

I discovered CWC yesterday! I was on xCode 12.1 but I tuned into a different playlist you had using xCode 10.3 and it had a different setup and lay out that I couldn't keep track of too well. I was going to stop watching the series and then I found this one, and it's exactly the same as the current version I'm on. Thank you for literally going above and beyond!

I have a question, why is it that when I change my simulator to 12 Pro Max, the background image becomes smaller than the screen despite using the ignoreSafeArea() modifier?

EDIT: I fixed it by adjusting all of them, 2x is the now main, 3x became 2x and I made a 3x one based on 12 Pro Max's resolution

I am looking to better organize my code and I want to have all my delegates and data sources separate from the view controller as files, is there a way to do this in UIKit? I have tried a few things maybe using a protocol for the delegate but I get stuck
