What tool should we test next?
ОтветитьThe car kit size & weight of one 21mm (or whatever) lug nut socket is nil, so there's no point to even trying this with high-torque bolts.
ОтветитьI bought one of these and I put my finger in it, not good
ОтветитьI've got one made by Wiha and it's excellent.
ОтветитьI kind of have one of those but it's a hyper tough one
ОтветитьHonestly it just needs a stronger build overall. It's not terrible as a concept!!! Stronger metal and hexagonal pins might help the overall build in terms of durability. Someone please do it!
Ответить100% buying generic one to throw in toolbox just incase for drill, no chance carrying around socket set and wrenches 24/7
ОтветитьTakes on any nut???
Freaky
Buddy has no clue how to use a torque wrench lol 😂 do they make deepwell sockets?
ОтветитьIm ordering 5 of these right meow. Wont need another tool ever again 😂
ОтветитьHow did they work on bolts that may have rounded off and you cant get a socket on them?
ОтветитьSmilies to an extraction socket in that once you get it too bite it’ll shred the fastner head
ОтветитьBent ones at every garage sale in America. They break 😂
ОтветитьWhew! Thanks guys! I momentarily considered one of these for my brake calipers. And then I thought, if I use this and round off a bolt, I'd be in a tough spot. For the 14 mm bolts they are only torqued to 30-ftlbs but the 22 mm caliper bolts are torqued to 98 ftlbs, and I was afraid to mess those up. So I just bought the right tool. Sorry Gator people.
ОтветитьI really thought that only my house had a junk drawer
Ответитьmixed feelings about the gator lol
ОтветитьOMG, there’s an E39 right there!
ОтветитьAre they talking about bitch grips idk. Who hear watching from 2024?
ОтветитьA ratchet for a tire but I guys are not mechanics
ОтветитьBasically seems to be what I thought. Alright for some things, but other things won't fit right, and if you're working with something too tight it'll damage the thing.
ОтветитьI bought one and put it on a impact and broke my coilover head span out and hit the side right off
ОтветитьThey're nice for like square fasteners cuz nobody carries f**** 12 points around and a lot of the conveyors use square fasteners for the tension bolt
Ответитьspark plugs only
Ответить>World Most Hated Tool
>only available in the US
man we cannot have fun with shit products and scams out there
gator grips are absolute rubbish there is one on the market has six teeth and is adjustable ten times better then gator grip .
ОтветитьWorks great around the house. It doesn't quite work for everything, but I definitely like having one.
Ответитьyou guys come right out of the box saying this tool is in 65% of junk drawers in America like its a complete joke...
this tool is useful in some cases...
I’ve seen this in an ad from Facebook in a site called Inspire Uplift. When I first watched it I thought this would be a game changer. But now when I watched this video, this tool is very risky and very inconvenient all because of the defects I see in this video. Best of all it saved me money.
ОтветитьThey are terrible. Inaccurate and fall apart.
ОтветитьThese have gotten me out of a jam more than once, but def not the best tool ever.
ОтветитьYeah the 150lb limit, gonna be violated
ОтветитьI have one and love it. Have had it for years, never an issue. Then again, I don't use it for anything serious. Just a leg stretching machine that I lost the handle to.
ОтветитьGonna be honest make it hexagonal heads and smaller with a better metal this would be fucking amazing.
ОтветитьOne of these things spawned in my garage
This is shit
Gator grip worked for me. I had a freaking bolt that wouldn't freaking move, the happy grip handled that bolt like a pro!!!
ОтветитьThis tool was great for odd fasteners. I kept one in my tool bag while working on a ship.
ОтветитьGreat for amateurs and desperate situations.
ОтветитьI used one on a rounded off oil plug and it worked. That was several years ago and haven't used it since.
ОтветитьI find it can be handy to have one of these in the toolbox, if you come across a cuple of screws and you dont have or need an entire set. But for regular use on common sizes, I'd use the correct size. Like if I was changing tyres all day long, I would not be using this :P
Ответитьhonestly... kinda impressive. Yea it's far from perfect, and would not be the main tool. But in a pinch... seems to work..
ОтветитьEvery time I grabbed that socket when working with my dad as a kid I'd say, "What about this thing dad?"
...and he'd just say, "No"
That’s a great gift for my ex wife’s new husband 🤣
ОтветитьI have had the ones that they sell as the Gator Grip brand and they're garbage. Bent the pins and ruined bolts but I have one that is in my every day carry Leatherman kit. Galvanox makes one with the Leatherman flat bit adapter and it's great for small fixes and things you won't be ganking on. They work on odd shaped things best. Other than that, they're not the best tools.
ОтветитьBy the gods, I feel old. I actually remember that old info-mertial. I used to see it all the time even on channels like Nick and CN.
ОтветитьI actually have used it for changing tires, no problem at all!
ОтветитьConcept is very clever.
ОтветитьJust knowing it can screw in things that you shouldn't be able to screw in, or out, at all with a machine is a win for me. It's like a if all else fails kind of tool. I'm finally buying one even after your verdict.
