what you're saying about shopping (shopping sales, making a wishlist and coming back to it later if you still like it, not impulse buying, checking your bank statement often so you know what's in there) is EXACTLY what my Mom taught me about shopping and what I learned through my own trial and error. it's reminding me how important conversations about money are, generationally and with peers.
