When I try putting brew install ffmpeg it says "usage: install [-bCcpSsv] [-B suffix] [-f flags] [-g group] [-m mode]

[-o owner] file1 ... fileN directory

What do i do now?

Bad download. Kept downloading all types of seriously questionable files. Deleted all of them

when I enter ffmpeg, I get zsh: command not found: ffmpeg

Needed this for replay mod. so far it seems to be working. hopefully I didn't download malware or anything like that...

Install went fine but now where is it located? Every search I do on my Mac comes up empty. As far as I can see there is no folder called usr/local/ffmpeg etc. Help?

For some reason it is not allowing me to install ffmpeg. This is the error it gives me,
"zsh: command not found: brew"
Can someone help me fix this problem!

$ ffmpeg -i input.mp4 output.avi

I put in "brew install ffmpeg"

Command not found... help me please

Nvm i found out that im using a older mac so that's a shame :(

Add the following to your .bashrc or equivalent:
export GUILE_LOAD_PATH="/usr/local/share/guile/site/3.0"
export GUILE_LOAD_COMPILED_PATH="/usr/local/lib/guile/3.0/site-ccache"
export GUILE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS_PATH="/usr/local/lib/guile/3.0/extensions"

Error: An exception occurred within a child process:
CompilerSelectionError: [email protected] cannot be built with any available compilers.
Install GNU's GCC:
brew install gcc

After installing GCC - I get the same error....so this is broken now.

once i installed homebrew and typed in "brew install ffmpeg", it says there was an error, here is what it says :
Error: Can't create vendor-install-ruby lock in /usr/local/var/homebrew/locks!

Fix permissions by running:

  sudo chown -R $(whoami) /usr/local/var/homebrew

Error: Failed to install vendor Ruby.




Could somebody figure it out ?

PS its way faster to simply drag and drop that file from the finder into the terminal window. Saves some typing ;)

Sorry but through terminal its not easy. It keeps bugging I need to install Xcode because it cant installed from binary package?? Really weird we can just install the libs into to bin or cellar folder?
