Just had this done 2 weeks ago asking with bicep repair. Starting therapy tomorrow. Pain was the worst on day 2 and 3. Now just using Tylenol.

I just had my surgery two weeks ago on my left shoulder and bicep tear. I’m doing well better than the surgery I had done on my right shoulder a year ago. Don’t worry and don’t be afraid. Take your time to recover ask for help when you need it and make sure to get the saddle block it really helps.

how strong is your shoulder after this type of surgery. and is it hard to tear again.

my first massive tear repair in 2013 was not done well and 10 months out the infra re-tore then 2 years later the supra re-tore and I just had SCR with balloon insert last week. who knows what will happen but Im quite sure I'll be better off after the SCR than prior... then in 2023, we fix the moderate tear in the right side and hope to be okay but who is really okay right lol

Can you have a MRI with titanium?

I've had the exact same operation on both my rotator cuffs within 3yrs of each other in the UK,I had the block instead of being asleep so I could watch it on the monitor both times ,aft healing it was like a miracle cure ,the pain before I had these done was horrific 👍

Amazing what doctors can do

Extremely educational. I've got a tear, myself though it hasn't been assessed yet so I'm not sure how bad it is or what treatment's needed. But this really makes the surgery seem a lot easier than I expected. So I'm not even worried about that anymore. Thank you to Dr Karas and Emory healthcare for taking the time to make and post this video. Best regards to all of you from Ontario, Canada.

I just had this surgery done and I tell you it is very painful make sure you take all your medication at one time before the pain block where's offI'm too early in the recovery stage to know if it works or not so far I just feel like my shoulder is out of place

Just got this done on jan 1st 2021 ..and im still in healing process and it pains dont know how much long it will take to get back to normal🙄

If you had a partial shoulder replacement where the humeral head is now a smooth titanium surface. A couple years later you tear the supraspinatus tendon, can you still perform a supraspinatus repair by suturing the tendon down to the greater tuberosity or is there not enough bone because the humeral head is now titanium

is this considered routine surgery? I delay mine for over 10 or 12 years years now I am just going to get it over with. I tried acupuncture, physio, chiropractic therapy etc but I was just too active and didn't want to stop for recovery. but I am going to do it now.
