All of these ideas are great and i use some of them and have learnt more now, 😊 however I'm a supply teacher... So you cant rehearse things as such. I oftem ask the school/teacher what thwy say or do amd wjat their kids respond to or know - but this doesn't work all the time with ebery class.

Thanks but back in the 80s when we said a word out of turn we wrote a hundred lines and it doubled until we got the idea. Corporal punishment was still allowed at my school, only recall one guy getting it though. I remember I once carved into one of those old wooden desks. My punishment? Clean every desk in the school. You think I did that again? I remember in HS I was trying to get with this model. And she seemed receptive. First warning I kept going. Second, model or not, I stopped. I had been trained. Kids need to be trained a lot earlier with more serious consequences.

Hi everyone. As I teach children from 6 to 10 years old, normally I use the TPR’s in order to get students attention so I can start class. For instance, I can sing and sign if you’re happy ‘n you know it clap your hands, blink your eyes. As soon as I start singing everyone pays attention.

The secret is students must be learning something new, in any subject; or prepare to hear the line: ‘we’ve done that already’; also the class-work must be prompt upon the teachers table (as they enter the classroom) not the last minute panic searching for it; presentation isn’t just a word; it’s everything

Thank you very much for these techniques you illustrated. I use the "track the speaker and eyes on me, or eyes on the screen" techniques to silence my students. Unfortunately, there are certain times when some students choose to ignore and I have to be direct by mentioning their location, such as those at the back or at the corner to track the speaker. However, It is never too late to learn. I have learned additional strategies from this video that I intend to implement.

A QUADRIPLEGIC Can still have sex and children. They can work, they can raise children. They can party, go to church, and drive. I know from experience that they can live a normal life. This pastor need to study more about what he is teaching about QUADRIPLEGICS. This pastor makes the QUADRIPLEGIC as though they are monsters. They are disable people. And everyone of them that hear this message should bring a lawsuit for preaching discrimination against those that are disable. I am going to share this with the QUADRIPLEGIC that I know. He is not preaching by the Holy Spirit nor my knowledge that he could have gotten from Baylor Rehabilitation Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Do research pastor before you talk on any subject. If you do not know how to answer the questions then just the people that you do not know but will seek out the answer from other sources or just shut up.

I have 2 that I use that gets my students' attention quickly.
I say, "Look at me," and the kids have to look at me with "crazy eyes". The other one is , I tell them to put their heads down and I talk softly to give them directions, they do it quickly. When they're ready, I say "heads up". I use others, but those work the fastest for me. (3rd grade teacher).

one time when i observe the students in the library, they run and shout in the library, I use loud voice and tell them with their name that they should sit down quietly and read the book with the indoor voice, but they ask me "you use loud voice to tell us use indoor voice? do you know library rule? the library rule tells us that we only can use indoor voice, so why you use loud voice?" how can i react to them?

i found a useful way is to call the class to attention. I will say Attention and have the student stand and salute. That one always seems to work. When all else fails there is always the feedback loop by putting a microphone in front of a speaker. students hate that sound and after awhile police them selves as students who dont want to hear that will tell other students to stop talking

I think you are really wrong my colleague, I'm teacher too, if you call them as you say "capitain" l-is-t-e-n" or other words as you mention they will play with you and they will call you crazy.. There is no solution for a "noisy class" the only solution is to find a "punitive fines" like police fined us in traffic...

😂last methods, if i implement them it will not quiet Them instead they'll be out of control.. they are notorious that you can't even imagine.
They are quiet only when i teach them and tell them story and for even a second i am out of my class ..they just become out control parties

There was a very straightforward solution to this in Ireland in the 1960s. If people misbehaved in the classroom, the teacher broke the wooden leg off a chair and hit the students with it on the palm of their hand until they cried from the pain. This method instantly produced a terrified hush in the room. You were saying ?
