SDC 2300 Introduction | Minelab Metal Detectors

While you're 'guessing' what one target is, based on the lack of a VDI readout; I've already covered 10+ targets-that are all iron, aluminum, junk, etc. A VDI readout show the number range that gold reads out at. But you wanna dig 30+ mins- on one target based on a detector's guess... This unit is overpriced, just like the Gold Monster. You WILL dig almost every target with this unit, and it takes ONE HOUR to dig out a 1ft deep target- in the tough caliche desert ground. I've used Garrett ATX's, GBII's, etc, both with no VDI readout-and got rid of them. Sure; the sound has alot to do with these units-but a VDI readout gives me a conclusion instantly. Save yourselve's a pile of money, folks; get an Equinox 800, even a Whites MXT. Ive' been trying to tell buyers for a couple years that; the Minelab Gold Monster and similar non-VDI units are hyped-up detectors. My 14 year old Whites MXT will hit a nickel at 16 inches; the equivelant to a one ounce gold nugget, (With the smaller Eclipse 5.3 mono coil,)It will hit a #8/.080 birdshot bb also. Maybe folks will wise up and stop dropping a $1,000.00 bucks and more-on the GM and SDC2300.

Too pricey...dont know why is 10k I'd rather spend it in silver or gold billions than this and would probably get ur money back after 20 years of SDC gold nugget hunt lol ... Dont waist ur mony is not worth it.

Ur blindfold if u get this ... but ull be heart opened to spend 9k usd on poor family and help them out and spend 1k on a gold coin then the good Lord will give u more than this SDC2300 china plastic and boards then u have warranty that they will make u cry and suffer to get it repaired then u have to hunt for many manu years to pay it back ... it just a rich boy dont know what to do with my money toys.....

This machine costs double what the CTX3030 costs, joan allen metal detectors sells the SDC2300 for a whopping £3,400.00 not sure if you can get cheaper in UK, its half this price in other countries that sell them UK is a rip off as per usual

SDC 2300, now we know why Minelab hasn't had time to develop any updates for the CTX 3030 after two years from release. No Thank You!

I most say it looked good until I saw that it is still the crappy koss headphones that goes with it. They last for about 30min in the field. So i guess that the detektor is fitting them. How the hell can you still sell those awfull things and with new stuff. You most have had 10000 or more returned or do people just dont care like me and promise them self that they will never buy anything that comes with those cheaper than china made hearing things you call koss 30. I have now had 3 pairs going out on me. They fail in the plug and soldering. They fail again and again. I have repaired them so many times that i dont care to count anymore. What was wrong with the F1A4. That looked like it was made to last. This looks like some plastic thing you made in the garage to tackle the new garrett  that looks just like your F1A4. Whats up. ?

I would love to test this detector out.Need to upgrade from Garret.

What I can see from reading Minelab info its the same inside Minelab F 3 and Minelab F 3 inside the same like Minelab F 1 A 4. I have F 1 A 4 and its make sounds the same like this new SDC so my question is what is new in this new expensive detector except compactness and wobbling design with only 5 inch coil? Used Minelab F 3  500$1500$  F1 A 4 400-1000$, interesting what surprise price we will get for SDC  suspect looks very scary? But lets be positive! buy used good Minelab and go hunting) good luck all!
