Short story long:

I love mud races. There’s challenges, friendships are made, everyone helps one another overcome difficulties, and at the end there’s rewards. It’s how life should be.

Years ago I painted my face sorta like Ultimate Warrior from the days when WWF meant World Wrestling Federation. I’d scribble Mudwolf on a shirt as well several times and then hit up a race. Over time I learned that Mudwolf was a copyrighted name so I threw in an extra ‘d’ and Muddwolf was born. Plus as a songwriter, performer, and rapper it just sounds cool.

For this video I put on three colors. Originally I was thinking red, white, and blue but I wanted to be original.

Black, white, and red. After I put it on I thought about what those colors could mean. “It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white cuz we all bleed the same color.”

After I got permission to say “Rugged Maniac” in a song I went to work by contacting a beatmaker, write, studio, distributor and when April 23rd happened everything fell into place to do a music video! Most people had to start their race soon so I quickly asked them if they wanted to be in a music video then got their written consent and we all did my new dance “The Rugged Maniac!”

Right fist on chest: Be strong!
Then left fist on chest: use your heart
Two fist-bumps forward: pass it on

The “soon you’ll be coming back” part was supposed to have me pointing my right thumb at my back but I was in a hurry to do this with everyone so I’m looking like I’m saying “SAFE” or “no way!”
