Doing the 2nd part of this to change the "Class" of the ship doesn't seem to work now. If you find a freighter pirate fight and get too far away and dock with station, you come back out and it's gone....

I’m so unlucky first try I got the ship I wanted but it was bieng attacked by a pirate capital ship that I lost against and when I reloaded it wasgone

Ran into an S class freighter first time without looking for it and didnt have enough money

This video is really old now but I am still having trouble. I’ve done 2 now and both times the capital ship has despawned after reloading to a space station. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I go to the system, start the battle, save at a station, go to the ship, reload and its gone.

I followed the instructions to make a new save once I found the style of ship I wanted, and doing so ended the mission (was supposed to be my free freighter). I had to leave the system and warp back again and it restarted the event.

does all this apply if you already have a freighter ship

I keep finding the smaller one but when i reload and go back to that system its still the same, when i go to another 3 star it doesnt even appear

Funny. My game crashed after 3 hours of playing right when I was getting set up to get a higher tier one and now I have to wait 3 more hours for fucks sake

So you have to afk for like 3 hours and make at least 5 jumps before encountering a freighter battle

This doesn't work anymore. When I ignored the pirates and landed on the station, then went to the freighter again, there was no battle anymore. When I reloaded the save, the battle was on, but when I won, I got immediately rewarded and no invitation for free freighter. When I reloaded the restore point (from the station) and got to the freighter, it didn't have any fight.
Looks like they patched it and now restoring from the station doesn't work anymore, and I have to reload the save from the starting system, and then I may not get a freighter attack situation at all. So basically, this killed all the tricks and infinite reloading to get the freighter you want.

Nobody is telling how to find 3 star systems, only "go, find one". I assume, we must seek for the highest economy, but since there are many descriptions suggesting those, it's a bit tricky and confusing. Are there any other tricks how to find 3 star systems?

Weird I played more than 3 hours visiting far more than 3 systems and looked at many space stations and also looked into the settings to see anything wrong but all seemed okay but no matter what I do not even a single freighter would show up just some system freighter instead

I messed it up and after I found the one I wanted and it despawnd do I have to play

After watching these videos hello games needs to make it much easier to get the capital ship or freighter that you want!!!

How does the reload work in post fractal update?

This doesn't help me because I don't know how to find a 3* economy

Can I still do this after I alr got a free on?

Man within an hour of watching this video I came across the Capital freighter that I wanted, thanks my man.

Just a heads up you can enter the ship you run across even in the middle of a freighter battle this way you will know if you want said Freighter or not. Have to update in 2022

Can confirm this strategy works. Not only did it work, but it did in fact cancel out the space battle so I didn’t have to do it, and I was able to just reload on the station in the system until I got my S class for my first freighter. Resurgent Venator, S class in red and black. Took about 12-15 reloads to get S. The hardest part was probably just finding the exact capital I was looking for, getting it to load as an S wasn’t all that bad once I got this strategy figured out. Also, yes I got a couple of A class ones and the stats are so similar to S that if you’re really having trouble getting an S, just settle for A, unless you’re like me and determined to get that S.
Keep in mind, the first time I tried this strategy and saved on the station where the battle was happening, the entire thing just despawned on me, the battle and the freighter itself just disappeared and forced me to restart the 3 hour CD timer and also had to look for my Resurgent Venator again, which for me was the most difficult part because I was only searching 3 star systems in order to maximize my chances of S class.

Thank you for this guide! I FINALLY got my Resurgent class Venator! Took so long I didn't even care what class it was. Turned out to be an A class! Good enough for me! And she is beautiful!

For anyone who stumbles across this do not save before engaging in the battle it will despawn the freighter and the battle

I'm really surprised that exiting your ship on boarding the freighter doesn't save the game. I've never really paid attention one way another.

hi i have a question, does it matter if the systems i jumped through are the same ones like for example i jump in between 2 systems and repeat the process nothing else

Another thing you can do is warping to Another Sytem using the freighter and a lot of Times when I do this a bunch of Fleets will appear randomly And I go from Fleet to Fleet adding frigates to my Fleet and investigating the capital ship of said Fleet but its kind of tedious but you usually will get a huge amount of ships appear randomly

I can get in the freighter without destroying the pirates. Is this a bug?

I’ve been trying and trying and I haven’t been able to find anything bigger than the medium sized venator (4 partitions vs. 6 partitions) can the size change each encounter or is a system’s ship size locked in place too?

Do these events happen in creative?

Here after trying to get to the core last night. Took me hours just to cover 200,000 ly so hopefully I can get a better hyperdrive range on an s class

Reloading in space station now ends the battle. Not sure it matters though. Still working on reloads. B every time wuth varied stats. Hopefully ill see an A or C to know the class isnt locked in soon

I warped for the 5th time and got the fight....i went to the space station for auto save and i go back to the fight, destroyed the ships and go in to the freighter...C Class....I reload the game, when i leave the space station there is no fight or freighter....did something wrong?

How come when I go into the space station to create the autosave then head back out the freighter battle is no longer there? This has happened twice to me so far

i stll cant find a S class :(

soooo here is my problem....ive made the save jumping out of ship, jump to new system "knowing" freighter fight will happen....but then it doesnt...i jump and jump and jump but no fight...i have the 3 hour and 5 jump pre req.

i've been playing for 8 straight hours and jump more than 100 times, not a single freighter battle spawned.

Do they spawn in the first freighter battle you encounter (the one for free)?

So you basically have to go to 50 different systems?????

Do NOT RUN UP TO THE CAPTAIN! On freighter as soon as you are outside your ship. Scan the floor or wall of freighter and it will give you all its class details. If not S class then reload last auto save immediately. Do NOT give up. I have a new save running, went for S class and did 60 reloads. - Nothing!! Today i carried on and got S after 2 loads ( 62 in total with yesterday) if i had ran to the Captain everytime i would still be on about load 40.

Watched a few of these S-Freighter tutorials and yours is the best!

Hey i have a question about the Warp is like the 3 hours in 1 Session or life time cuz i have already 20 Warps when im not wrong.

3 days and 100+ re loads later. Still no s class... statically I should have accidentally crossed one by now...
