Very good video , didn't know about loom and I will definitely going to try it. However, where is ShareX ? It is very good software for recording, plus Its free and very easy to use .

Has anyone figured out a way to record screen and audio (on mac) with only system sounds? I tried using my airpods, but the audio wasn't added. I tried without airpods and it picks up ALL the background noise and is also very "dull" sounding.

hiya thanks for this useful tip. I use Loom a lot until they change their free plan policy. No more downloads for those 5 minutes clip and you have to upgrade. Do you know any Loom alternative that allows screen record and download too? Camtasia is way too expensive!

Screenflow is an income scam. Every year they release a new version and charge you for it, and the old version conveniently breaks with new releases of macOS. I have Screenflow 9 running on macOS Ventura. Made a recording and tried to add a text callout to it. The program will not allow me to edit the text. Given that I cannot use the most basic of features after paying for the software, there is no way I'm going to pay for Screenflow 10, and have it break with the next release of macOS, and then have them blackmail into buying Screenflow 11.

the biggest issue is to pause and then continue..such a simple thing most screen recorders are not able to do..

I have a Mac and it drives me mad that it uses the inbuilt microphone so gets all the noise in the room, like the dog playing with squeaky toys! How can I get it to use something like Blackhole. I have set the sound settings for the mic to be blackhole, but it doesn't record the sound at all when I do that. (Yes I am clicking built in Mic on the options as that is where I have set it to be the default). It's driving me mad and I have been trying for 2 days!

Camtasia is terrible. I have a decent computer and it makes it run so slowly it crashes. Audio never matches the video, so frustrating. I wouldn't buy it again.
