All the criticism I've heard hasn't come from how it looks. In fact, that and the gameplay are the only things being praised. All criticism has been directed towards the bad story, some character MoCap casting choices *cough MJ*, and the ending where the game effectively does what the comics have tried to push for years in Miles taking over as Spider-Man.
