You send the whole Japanese fleet to the southeast the island and then come from the opposite side to surprise. Don't be arrogant
ОтветитьMOaR!!!
Ответить☪️ = 💩
ОтветитьTurn around!!!
ОтветитьWere the first four waves of attacks on purpose sent like that? Or if i remember correctly didnt they all somewhat randomly get lost and find the japanese fleet at perfect intervals?
ОтветитьTurn around and go home
ОтветитьThey lied. They wear not ready to launch. All the planes were on the lower hanger decks.
ОтветитьThe idea that you would demoralize the United States by destroying some carriers is laughable. I don’t know why anybody would think that. As long as America had its factories, no one was going to stop them. Even without development of the A-bomb.
ОтветитьSo the US hit that 1% critical strike
ОтветитьThis is the only video that actually helped me understand why Nagumo had that dilemma.
ОтветитьMy farther was on the USS Hornet during this battle.
ОтветитьBuenísimo trabajo
ОтветитьMasterpiece. Ive seen a lot of videos about this event, but this is the only one that claims a "Japanese perspective" and actually does so
ОтветитьOutstanding.
ОтветитьI’ve seen several different documentaries on midway. I was able to follow all the actions. This was much better for my slow brain thanks.
ОтветитьWell since we're doing woulda coulds shoulda.
One option that was not brought up in this video. He could've assumed that the enemy was launching everything they got, that he lost the iniative and that there would be no 45 min to launch window any time soon. That the dive bombers where in the air. So disarm and defuel the planes in the hangar, secure the fuel and explosives. Focus on defense, get the firefighting gear out and ride out the attack. Full steam away from the enemy to try and build some distance.
Very nicely done young man! I would like to throw in another point that I've often brought up when discussing this battle with fellow history buffs. It's a wonderful example of why navies train, train and then train some more. Just imagine for a moment if Nagumo's pilots/communications officers had been trained better and more specifically. What if it was standard procedure to ALWAYS double check and then repeat spotter plane coordinates and ALWAYS list every ship sighted, which granted isn't always possible. Imagine if he knew precisely how long rearmament would take on a per plane basis, both at 'normal' and 'urgent' paces? It's fascinating to look at this battle and realize how information is gold. The Americans had a much better and more accurate idea of what they were facing and I think that contributed in no small way to their ultimate victory here.
ОтветитьI feel that Sand Island should be named West Island, and what is East Island made out of, if not sand? So why is Sand Island more sandy, or should East Island be Grit, Shingle or Pebble? Loved the documentary by the way.
Ответитьyep, the same carriers that just happened, ahem, to be missing from pearl harbor,,,,
ОтветитьDuring the start the planes to attack midway,it should have come from two aircraft carrier & the planes from the other two should be reserved for the enemy aircraft carrier, since this mission was launched to destroy the US carriers, midway should have been made a secondary mission only
ОтветитьAfter of this bla ,bla, bla, what happened, JAV defeated
ОтветитьWow! Super impressed with the work on this battle. I dearly hope you can make more videos on other wars and battles. It made the time fly by! Loved giving us the chance to contemplate what we would do.
ОтветитьNever play music when people are speaking in videos.
Ответитьthe real problem for both sides was pilots who constantly sank the same ship battle after battle. Why send a ship to finish off Yorktown after Coral Sea when it was supposedly sunk already again again.
ОтветитьSeems like a single Japanese spy located at Pearl would have made a huge difference, reporting if carriers were at port or not
ОтветитьThere was nothing heroic about the empire of Japan
ОтветитьNagumos Dilema - why not launch at the ships off of the Agaki and Kaga and recover the Midway strike force to land on the Hiryu and Sorou? Isnt that the way the Midway foce took off from? Puzzling
ОтветитьKodawari both wins… and loses
ОтветитьYou are pre supposing the invasion fleet would be bombed by Midway island, this was not the case and they would not have been effective in destroying the invasion fleet with land based bombers which also proved themselves inadequate during the battle against the fleet of cvs. The japanese could still have invaded the island had it not been for the american cvs if they had been discovered which they did not.
ОтветитьWhat an amazingly made video! Very nice
ОтветитьYou are going to suprise Attack Midway. Why you keep half your Planes in Reserve ?
After rethinking the Battle many times in the Last years i come to the conclusion this is nonsense.
If you commit a suprise attack on an Island , go all in ,launch all your Aircraft- Midway Airfield have to be taken out completly.
What was Yamamoto thinking, keeping Bombers in Reserve ; for what. The Carrierrs espected in Pearl Habour ?
Omtzigt, Ga nou maar regeren ipv alles en iedereen de les lezen...
ОтветитьAbsolutely crazy how in 5 min the whole course of the Pacific War changed.
ОтветитьExcellent choice to add Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie" as the soundtrack for the final American attack!
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic visualization and video. The Kido Butai in terms of combat and decision making didn't make any errors. What an excellent example of how making all the right decisions may still not give you a winning outcome.
ОтветитьThe Kansai Kessen What is a totally flawed strategy. The only way the Japanese had a chance to win. The war was not initiate a sneak attack on American soil! 1940s America never forgives never forget never gives up that was the wrong generation of Americans to go to war with!
ОтветитьMidway showed how bad the Japanese were 😐
Ответитьi pocket clicked on this and, yeah, ok... I'll watch nagumo's dilemma for the thirtieth time. let's go!
ОтветитьMidway island should not have Been focused upon by the Japanese carriers. The invasion group was more than enough to take it. The Japanese Commander made mistakes in judgement and lost focus over the more important mission of destroying the U.S. Carriers. Hesitation and Aircraft were not properly armed to attack the enemy Carriers and or defend their own Carriers. They were caught in rearming at their Commanders orders
ОтветитьThis kinds of make me remember what happened to musashi who got bombed wave after wave until her might cheeks finally gives up
ОтветитьI thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this. Well told in excellent detail. The story of this battle was always fascinating in itself without embellishments or demeaning the Japanese. Great narration. Very well put together. Thank you.
ОтветитьGo Red, White And Blue!
ОтветитьVery interesting video. Given the information available, I would either go ahead as Nogumo did, or make an attempt to withdraw since even before the carriers were confirmed the whole situation just feels off.
ОтветитьThis is a serious testament to navel combat that experience and modern weaponry almost won Japan the day. American logistics was abysmal, and our torpedoes were even worse! The one thing the American fleet had advantage in was intelligence and that did make a difference. Yet knowing some of the happenings, mathematically however, the American victory was improbable, even with their intelligence advantage. It seems either lady luck or God helped the Americans.
