Windows 10 Vs Windows 7 In 2023! (Which Should You Use?)

Windows 7 is better than windows 10.

The only thing I ever use Windows 10 for exclusively is playing games, so there's DX12. Other than that, I really don't need Windows 10's bloated features. Windows 7 had everything I needed and if we weren't forced to use DX12 in modern games, I would never have switched in the first place.

Alot of programs don't work on windows 10. 10 is more for apps. Is like a phone on a laptop

We only upgraded our last PC to windows 10 from 7 like a year or so ago. I've noticed nothing worth upgraded from 7 to 10 for, in other words no added value. In fact we had more problems tweaking windows 10 then we ever had to do with windows 7. Tens of millions of people still use Windows 7 and it's very relevant. Many legacy computers in business and government still use windows 7 and earlier because their proprietary software just works with it and there's no value added by "upgrading" the operating system.

Everyone always touts security patches as the reason to continually upgrade and quite frankly that's a very poor reason. You have to look at what you are using your pc for to determine what's best. First off, if the pc never gets connected to the internet (and believe it or not many don't) then operating system is 100% a moot point. Even if you go online, if you are only doing well known sites, you're still safe. Our last pc upgrade was being used to share some lan drives and play media locally. It doesn't matter what operating system is used on a pc like that.
