hi i got a question can you thread a 5/8 pipe to 3/8?

I use 140 grade gear oil, It doesn’t run all over the place and you use much less oil

How do you clean the oil off?

I am 16 and in a machine class. Ik how to cut threads but I cut threads on a lathe. It's easy but I wanna try it this way

I have a wannabe know-it-all boss that kept trying to argue with me about breaking the chips telling me not to break the chips and that he has threaded "hundreds of threads" even though he is a mere service plumber... which only in extremely rare circumstances would use a threader. As an install plumber and a steamfitter, I believe in doing it right or not doing it at all. I will send this video to him so he can learn to not be an argumentative ass.

Was that an NPT or NPS die. It looked like NPS to me. I’m trying to straighten out some stripped threads on a tracktor spindle but can only find an NPT die locally.
