The phone one is easy. Certain folks with mental illnesses or developmental/social issues will fixate on phones and just call random (or specifically chosen) people. I worked at a store for 5 years and one period for several months we got a call every day at 5pm from an out of state area code from the same person asking what our hours were that day. We would tell him, he would say thank you and hang up.

Eventually that number called again and said "hey sorry one of our patients just called you, did he want anything?" And we explained the situation. Apparently we were not the first place he did it to. They explained that similar things would happen with other patients from time to time and thanked us for being cordial.

I can totally imagine someone calling random numbers and saying god loves you or something.

My hairbrain theroy for the uncanny valley is from the bible. There in a line that we were creaded in gods image (we look like him) but we are not supposed to see gods face as i renember somone trying to peek at gods face and was blinded as a result. So what we experience as the uncanny valley is the volition/ near viollation of tying to see the face of god. Resulting in fear or anxiety as danger is something we can all comprehend.
