I've had Verizon internet for a while now, at least 6 months. We switched due to how overpriced and useless Spectrum was and sadly Verizon only improves in one way; cost. We we're paying around 250 dollars a month for Spectrum internet and now we only pay around 50-70 dollars. Unfortunately that's where the pros end and the cons start. Verizon internet is perhaps the slowest internet I've ever seen, seriously. Its only getting 2MBP's on Download and around 8 MBPS on upload. You're actually better off just going to a coffee shop with internet than dealing with Verizon's internet.

Anyone who has fiber internet available to them just get fiber internet trust me it's way cheaper and a better value than anything else so you're going to get unfortunately not everyone has access to it but seriously if you do have access to fiber internet just get that

I have Verizon 5g Home plus. For the most part I’m satisfied and my speed (I consistantly get avg over 200Mbps down and 20 up). My biggest issue is there doesn’t seem to get a local external IP address. Right now the address shows me in AZ when I’m in NM. Very irritating since content that comes up is usually for another state. I also get a lot of logon warnings when logging in, since system thinks I’m trying to log in out of state. Verizon says their ip’s are dynamic and there’s no way to change.

Just left Verizon 5G home for AT&T fiber for basically the same price

5G home internet was 300MGPS when in reality we consistently capping at 15MGPS with a ping at 193 (horrible)

After constantly calling Verizon, I am switching to AT&T Fiber for the same price for 1GBPS Download and Upload NO BRAINER!

I just fired mine up on Merritt Island, Fl and am only getting 40mb/s download speed on initial testing.

I had Verizon 5G Home. Now I don't.

Verizon's coverage map clearly states that where I live, I have 5G ultra wide band. I do not have 5G UWB. I haven't had it since they took out a tower back in April. Yet, they never changed the coverage map. I've called quite a few times and had hours worth of conversations with their technical support team. They refused to do anything about it. They are perfectly okay with lying to you again and again, no matter how many times you point it out to them. They close my support ticket and leave me a link to how mobile networks work or they just give me a link to the coverage map. The one that I called about. The one that I stated is wildly inaccurate. While I'm out in the world and I actually have 5G ultra wide band, my download speeds are 1200% faster than they are where I live. According to the coverage map, 400 megabits per second down is the same as 30 megabits per second down. Verizon is perfectly okay with these facts. They explain that it's approximate or there's bound to be some discrepancies. It's not a discrepancy when they take a tower out and act like it's still there.

I have had it since January 2023, it replaced my Starlink. The speeds have been faster and much more consistent than Starlink at 1/3 of the price. We only have DSL in our neighborhood, so until we hopefully get fiber this is a great option.

I noticed when it gets bussy in my neighborhood during the weekend my t mobile internet slows down drastically. Is that because of ppl using t mobile cells?

I'm about to be an ex loyal customer if they don't stop trying to scam me. My Internet recently keeps going in and out and they're telling me yet AGAIN that I need a new modem update. I just got one 2 years ago! I think they're controlling my Internet from the hub making it go in and out. The customer service rep gave it away with terribly poor acting.

My concern is speed, and since my main PC at home does not support WiFi as it needs to be connected with an ethernet cable, I don't see myself making the switch even though I could be saving more than $50 USD a month. Thank you for your video. 🤔

One thing to notice about verizon is "the 5G Home Internet service uses 5G and 4G LTE when 5G Ultra Wideband is not available, and depending on location, some customers may receive LTE Home with download speeds of 25-50 Mbps and upload speeds of 4-5 Mbps. " i highly recommend you confirm with them if you are in UW range. After talking with chat, they said UW was too far away from me so i would be connecting to a 4gLTE tower. it is very misleading since it said 5g was available in my area and it let me complete the purchase process on selecting a 5g home internet plan. right before i hit confirm i decided to ask support so i can avoid the return process.

Tmobile home internet was sold as a 1 gig connection. When I first got it the first 6 months I got 600 - 800 mbps down and 50 up.
But a year and a half later they have slowed my speed down to 120 mbps down and 20 mbps up.
Every time I call them they say that there is ongoing maintenance and congestion and there is no one they can report it to that
can fix it. So basically they are saying they are not going to do anything about it. I pay $25 a month for it.
I would consider Verizon but not for only 300 mbps down at $80 a month.
These companies all play the bait and switch game and slow down your speeds after a number of months.
It's all bullshit.

Does the Verizon 5G stay connected. I had ATT Internet Air. It was very fast, but it would go down once or twice a day. Sometime it would reboot, but usually I would have to reboot it. Not good when you stream audio and it's off all night.

Did you mention that Verizon throttles your speed way down after 30GB? That's only 10 hours of HD Netflix streaming a month before they slow you to a crawl.

I have cable internet and it slows down on a regular basis.

I JUST CHANGED MY VZ FIOS ROUTER BECAUSE MY OLD ONE WAS DROPPING & I was told by Apple & VZ that its old so I ordered the same router that you just showed the white oone & I had had nothing but constants dopps on internet since I got it my old router was better and I paid $300 for router and another $ 100 for the tech to come here & install another wire so I paid close to $ 500 after all the fees & taxes & I got the worse service ever I am retired from VZ so I know how screwed up they can be & greedy I have no internet right now & tomorrow another tech is coming here & if it it was my fault or a broken wire they are going to charge me another $ 100 maybe more so I am hoping whoever comes here tomorrow helps me I should not have to reset unplug stick the paper clip under the router into the small hole to reset 5x a day ...

I have several IP cameras that require open ports. I was told the T-Mobile 5G unit will not pass open ports but heard the Verizon unit does. It has something to do with local IP address.
Would you have any info on this.
