Bruh I went to look at the live chat thing and….Who the hell is this @GR0 person in the live chat and he’s the only one aggressively filling up the chat and even was getting mad saying “SHOOT THE GOD DAMN HEAD” during the zombie scene XD

This was hard to watch, and I mean that as most sincere compliment I can express.

I dont think any other animation really captures how gritty black mesa was, fantastic work dude.

This is seriously well-done! It really humanizes the marines a whole lot more, and doesn't just make them "badass military dudes".

What makes this so cool is that a majority of the scenes are Gmod stopmotion followed by a cinematic camera! Here's to more views and subscribers!

Source Filmmaker has brought about some of the best fan animations ive ever seen and almost 90% of it is tf2 and half life
Its wild how at one point valve made some of the best narrative driven games and arena shooters with one of the best digital video game distribution stores and despite them
Being the pc gaming juggernaut they still made sfm free
I mean fuck this animation was partly based off a fan game that became an official part of the series

Man what the fuck happened valve they had amazing community interaction and now its all radio silence

Man sfm these days are much more better than most movies and even after this for watching 5 minutes felt like it was 40 minutes and the sound design the facial expressions you can really feel what they feel seeing something that they weren't prepared for great job man honestly I'd ring the golden button for you

I wish there could’ve been something at the end, like Adrian Shephard walking through the remains of the carnage before carrying on with his attempts at escape

The thing I liked about Black Mesa is that it really captures the Fog of War effect that most combat troops experience, where a lot is happening and you don't have a full scope of the picture and the game itself captured it perfectly, but this project you made just demonstrates how unprepared our forces would be against an extra-dimensional force and it had me on edge honestly. Great stuff.

Okay…there is something unsettling about this. It isn’t a clean animation, but it isn’t poor quality. It’s gritty. It’s not this super clean movie where you feel like it’s Hollywood. I can never say I’ve been in combat because as of right now, I have never served. But u can sense the desperation of the Marines trying to hold off an enemy leaves above them. At the same time though, Marines can put up a fight; as one sided the fight looks. What even pre terrifying was the representation of shock, from the commander

Only issue I have with this is that the radio call from Goose 4 comes after Goose 4 lifts off, and is given by the marine NCO even though it's supposed to be the pilot calling for support. Would've made more sense to have it play after some of the marines get shredded, then show the CO die and gate get stuck so the other NCOs just cut tail and run. It's just an odd error in an otherwise excellent animation.

If Shepard was over there they would've survived.

Poor soldiers... They didn't match for xenian alien forces. They received orders by government to kill everyone involved in the project, like scientists and security guards. Many Hecu soldiers were against those orders, but government said: do it or i sent u to eternal jail.

They should refuse those orders and fight only against aliens. They were sent to death , to lose ur lives in a battlefield to try keep control of facility.

The hecu soldiers survivors, when reached in HQ just wait for further instructions and more later, has been dead in the seven hours war against Combine. The guilt of all this wasn't Gordon Freeman and yes Wallace Breen, cause him contacted the Combine much before the Resonance Cascade.

So Breen accepted Combine's offer and followed their instructions to change the sample for GG 3883 to cause the chaos and sabotage the experiment.

I feel sad seeing the soldiers killing innocent civilians, losing their lives for aliens and watching ur last evac helicopter leaving them behind to death.

The grunt carrying his buddy with a headcrab attached to his head makes me feel so sad :(

It's a horrifying thought, to think that the fortifications they put to prevent anyone from escaping Black Mesa. Kinda also backfired on them. Especially, as they started to lose ground.

I actually really enjoyed this film. I really liked the aspect of how everyone who is in shock is either frozen or just completely oblivious to their surroundings.

10/10 video, would recommend.

Dear god, the zombie sounds will forever haunt me, just from how much pain there is in them.

One problem of Animation physics first of all hecu has helmets that protecting them from headcrabs

What I always found creepy about HL zombies is that if you pay attention, you can hear words among their moaning like "help me" and "oh god". Makes you think that the people are still there, trapped in their own, mutating bodies. Always made me feel sad about them and I saw putting them down as an act of mercy. You've really showed that side of zombies in this film. Excellent job.
