Are RO Water Purifiers Good for Your Health?

All this is bs who talk about required minerals. they just want to discourage wastage of water instead of saving your kidneys.
If you are used to drink hot water, any water with TDS higher than 100 will form deposits at bottom of electric kettle. imagine you are drinking all those deposits and they will damage your kidneys over time which these organizations don’t care about.
TDS of 40-50 is sufficient for us. we indians have plenty of other ways to get minerals through kind of food we eat and drink.

Actually RO companies dont want customer to know all this. Since RO membrane and filters costs yearly maintainance fees. These companies earns so much by this yearly AMC. People who have suppy water should never use a RO. They should use only UV+UF water purifier, just to clean the water and remove microorganisms.

Absolute rubbish. It's much more important to remove chemicals, heavy metals etc from water. The minerals lost are easily obtained from the diet.

TDS is vague. The problem is the types of solids dissolved in our water, such as flouride. I think a general TDS test would be sufficient in determining if a softening system is necessary, not an RO system imo.

Ranjit there are plenty of parameters that need to be checked, tds is just one. Calcium and magnesium in high content is not good either, it can be sourced from other foods products too, i appreciate your concern but this video is slightly misleading, water borne diseases have reduced with RO world over. RO is much needed in 3rd world nations like India.

Ranjit, total dissolved solids in 3rd world countries are toxic with pathogens, sewage, heavy metals and industrial waste, if the total dissolved solids are not toxic only then more tds is permissible. Get two glasses of water with tds 10, then lets add minerals to one to increase the tds, and add toxic fluoride or sewage to another glass to increase tds. In india we have bad high tds. So we all require Ro filters as even the municipal water is highly chlorinated to kill pathogens, it will be like drinking swimming pool water. The information you are giving is good for people in Ireland or Canada not in India. Try having fruits and other good foods for essential vitamins and minerals, and drink clean water only with no pathogens or heavy metals. Or get bottled water with added minerals. I find this very video misleading for Indian public.

We have 260 TDS value on tap water in our society. Should I simply go for UV filter?

Ranjit ji since your both tap waters are under 500 TDS values, which tap you used for drinking water. Do you use any kind of purifier?

TDS rating itself cant tell you if water is drinkable or not. even if TDS is between 100 - 300 it can contain very poisonous or mild but harmful heavy metals. like phosphorous for example. so we need to get water tested in a lab and then after checking the constituent check if those can be filtered by your water purifier. most often it is not possible in affordable range. you will need a mini purification plant in your home to achieve what these companies are advertising.

I have a kent grand plus and I have a button inside to adjust the tds you should to shift this model geeky Ranjit.

But kent ro claim they don't remove mineral so how is it possible low tds Remove mineral now a days ro has latest technology with added mineral.

At my home tab water having below 200 ppm but the apartment common storage tank has too durty like dust and solid particul so how i drinks directly its not safe..

Our tds is 600 to 700 which RO purifier we should consider.
Water has also more iron level

Just remove RO filter and directly connect to uv or any other filter, i did for my water filter to get rid off ro filter 😅😂

I would suggest you take an RO purifier and ask technician to bypass RO membrand booster pump.
That way your system is future ready for RO but currently not using RO membrane.

Ro filters remove not only TDS but all the other crap! Lead, copper, hormone’s, pesticide’s, pharmaceuticals, etc etc etc!

Also at-least in Canada our government say water is not a viable sours of minerals…

I'm using LG water purifier WW151NP, from july 2022, it is RO . Later one year our family members are having bone joint pains. Talked to technician he was not sure where problem exists in the purifier. After watching your video, reliased now what to do.

Now also check the pH levels of RO water. It is much lower (acidic) than normal water again creating lot of health issues.

Yes what you said is correct sir. We are staying in rented house. We may get multiple transfers and change area of stay... Water TDS levels may change in different places. If we can't have control over TDS level of water, then there is no use in implementing RO system in our home. Does any product gives TDS control of available water

One thing is that if you want ro but need good water with it you can use mineral cartridge or alkaline cartridge installed as it gives minerals in ro water which we need, i also planning

Sir you can change the TDS of that you showed at your cousins home, there should be a knob in the body that used to adjust the TdS in every Ro
