The testing methodology is terrible, intel ring bus is choked. Who the hell cares about 5.2ghz when it's data starved?

Does a 3.0 x16 card in a 4.0 x16 slot take up 16 lanes or 8 lanes?

In other words, can I have 48 3.0 lanes worth of bandwidth and not run into issues given the 24 4.0 lane limit?

The thing that make it worth buying, is it will fit on a, micro-atx or itx, mobo, where as, the threadripper wont (at least on the motherboards on ebay), the threadripper also takes an additional 180w, compared to threadripper with same amount of cores..

I have Ryzen 9 5090x and when I run render so my all cores run at 3.5GHz only why it's not go up to 3.5GHz???

Does your custom build of FFMPEG suffer from the same quality (SSIM/VMAF) degredation that it normally does when encoding using above 4 threads?

The inability to run Windows 7 on this processor because of lack of motherboard drivers is really hindering the adopting of this processor
at my company. Now Windows 7 motherboard support is a real deal breaker for a lot of people.

Incredible the 5950X consumes less power than the 3900X and 3950X on stock settings.

I just picked one up for $550. I haven't received it yet, but I feel like I got a pretty damn good deal at that price point.

Even though mose videogames dont utilize more than 8 cores, if streaming/ recording it would probably have better performance from the 5900x/5950x than the 5800x

Just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1500X with an RX 580 to a 5950X with a 3080. Hella stoked for the night and day difference XD

What is missing from this chart is TR 1950X, as that was 16C offer from AMD some time ago, and many might be thinking if upgrading to 5950X is worth it.

Remember competition is good for everyone guys. So you have to buy amd because supporting intel monopoly is bad. Also power consumption for amd is better and all gamers should prioritize power consumption over fps. Also make sure you use really fast 3200mhz ram with ryzen, intel doesn’t care about fast ram. Ram speed makes 0 difference on intel but boosts ryzen by a lot. Rip intel. Vote Lisa Su for president 2024 🏳️‍🌈
