hard shell or soft shell...is a moot argument...soft shell will contain more water because the lobster has grown completely into its new shell idiot...that space is taken up by water...where the hard shell lobster has grown into it shell completely and is getting ready to exfoliate hence less water space in the shell...

Did the Mainiacs scam you...first, fresh off the boat does not mean taking your lobster from the poop tank!!! remember, they baited their traps with food to catch your "fresh" lobster and them put them in a tank so they can poop on each other...NICE!!! 2.) YOU ARE WAY TOO SOUTH FOR THE BEST LOBSTER...you have to go up the coast about another two hours where the real lobster catch is happening...south of southport and boothbay...lobster catch way down due to increased water temps....only the sickliest stop in georgieporgy town...kind of like Florida...only the strong make it to key west...

As Mainers, we all “know a guy” to get our bugs from. Most if not all of us pay the same price anyone else does, knowing how rough of a life it is for lobstermen. Or, if we pay less, we buy more often.

I live in Maine. Five Islands is fantastic. McLoon’s the best I’ve ever had. Steamed is better than boiled, to me, but 🤷‍♂️

You do know there is crap tract in the tail rite? 4 times I watched eat the tail without removing the poop shoot......gross.

I would probably start by dipping the potato chips in the lobster, getting a few little chunks of lobster potato chip, and then move on to the slightly less intimidating sandwich. Looks yummy!!

ACTUALLY, you had to remove two so-called "veins" FROM the lobster tail with green "stuff", but never mind now - I hope you enjoyed it...

A soft shelled lobster should be considered out of season.They are gross.Why don't you try your video again with spring lobster.Those are the best.

If you hang out by the docks when lobstah men are bringing in their catch.. They will sell you scabs...
Which are lobster with small imperfections on their shells.. That make then not look good when cooked.. ( barnacles , odd color, missing claw) for like 2 to 5 bucks a pound.. And you can usually fill a cooler for 40 bucks...

Mark,I’ve only watched this video so far but if you’re looking for an iconic lobster shack,you absolutely have to try Perry’s on The Blue Hills peninsula in Maine,their lobster comes right out of the bay with the water being pumped from the bay into the holding tanks and you talk about the sweetest most tasty lobster I’ve ever had,it’s a bit of a drive to the other side of Ellsworth but it is so worth it,you will definitely thank me later,unfriend they’re getting ready to close for this year but they open on June 1st
