A lot of people seem to have misunderstood what I was saying about odyssey. My point isn't that there's LITERALLY wasn't a stealth system. It was that the stealth system is made completely redundant by both the broken levelling system and the level design that clearly encourages and incentivises taking a combat centric approach.
ОтветитьI like the hidden blade 2
ОтветитьPlease put Mirage on this list
ОтветитьExcellent video. I agree with most of what has been said. Kudos to you for giving your true opinion on the series despite knowing some people may not like it.
ОтветитьUnity is the only AC game I completed and the stealth mechanics is good. Now playing Syndicate and having so much fun.
Ответить12. Valhalla and it is not even close. The stealth is still to this day barely functional. Guards will either not see you at all, but then spot you for moving one pixel out of a bush from 50 meters away at night. It sucks and is easily the most frustrating stealth system in a game I have ever played.
11. Odyssey. The jump in quality here is astronomical. Odyssey can be frustrating for sure but if you build around it, it can be quite fun.
10. AC1. Good stealth I just think the other games have more tools and are more fun.
9. AC3. Good tools, decent hiding areas, fun stealth.
8. Black Flag. Minor improvement over AC3.
7. Rogue. Black flag but with more bombs.
6. Origins. I think this stealth system is great and would be even higher if there were proper double assassinations.
5. Unity. Unity has the potential to be the best in the series in multiple regards but to this day it just doesnt work quite right. I find stealth in Unity to ne too inconsistent to put it any higher. At times it is my favorite, at other times it nears the bottom of the list.
4. AC2. Good addition of tools, double assassinations... beautiful.
3. Brotherhood. Good improvement on AC2.
2. Revelations good improvement on Brotherhood.
1. Syndicate. Syndicate stealth is easily my favorite in the series. It is like Unity but it... actually works 99% of the time. Syndicate stealth makes me realize how fucked Unity Stealth can be. Love the additions and new animations for crouch kills too.
Depends on the player
Ответитьac 3 should be behind origins. like you said so yourself, there was barely any point using it. whereas origins, stealth was super diverse and actually very useful and could make wiping out a camp far more efficient.
ОтветитьI say unity and then origins next
ОтветитьI don't agree what you said about ac revelations though!
ОтветитьIght let’s be real. Origins doesn’t have social stealth. But it by far has the most thought out and refined stealth AND ai behavior. Guards sleep and have routines. They react well to sounds. People love to suck the ezio trilogy.
ОтветитьUnity is the best Assasin's Creed game. For me of course.
Ответитьodyssey's stealth is so good with 100% crit chance while full health and all the abilities unlocked. it takes a while to set it up but when you do you have the fasted paced ninja shit in the series.
ОтветитьHitman trilogy is the best stealth based game. change my mind
ОтветитьOne time in ac odyssey i was in a bandit camp and pulled a bandit in a bush to kill him then his friend saw him getting pulled in a bush and came to " investigate" then i pulled him too and killed him , there was another one who did the same thing .
ОтветитьIn my opinion Unity should be below Syndicate. The AI is so inconsistent. Sometimes guards can spot you not even looking at you and snipers are too overpowered at least they are easy to kill
ОтветитьUnity is the only answer🎉
You got a sub.. great video
Syndicate hands down. Seriously.
Ответитьso essentially Unity has top tier parkour, combat, and stealth - sounds good to me
Ответитьtotal disagree, AC Odyssey has the most fun stealth for me, the Unity one is boring just too easy
ОтветитьI love how the newer assassin's creed games were at the bottom of the list. I know i'm guilty for liking and finishing those games but i cannot deny that those games doesn't give me the same reason why i played ac series. And AC Unity is heavily underrated, the story was well written, stealth is pretty good, and graphics is still amazing for a 2014 game and in my opinion, visually ac unity looks better than hogwarts legacy which was released early 2023.
ОтветитьHmm, I see a pattern here 🤔
Ответитьwhy does no one mention eagle vision when they talk about stealth? I feel like its another big problem with the rpg series.
ОтветитьUnity yessss
Ответитьagree unity best stealth.
ОтветитьMultiplayer on Unity was the most fun I’ve had on Assassin’s Creed, ever.
ОтветитьBro can’t say his t’s
ОтветитьAC3 should be in top 3, the animation created just to blend in different kinds of crowds is just amazing
ОтветитьAll this guy proved is he sucks as open world stealth
ОтветитьI’m less confused about why Valhalla is behind origins and more so confused why Valhalla is in front of odyssey. you basically described that stealth is basically non existent, and even if you say odysseys stealth is “bad” at least it’s actually integrated into the game
ОтветитьWell too bad unity is shit
ОтветитьBlack Flag will always be my all time favorite, yet AC brotherhood is what got me into the whole AC series
ОтветитьGenuinely a huge skill issue on Valhalla
Ответитьidk why you are trashing the wii u . ew . i also found stealth in syndicate fun . i played thru most of that game as low level as possible sneaking everywhere
ОтветитьStrongly disagree with Odyssey. The stealth is more responsive than Unity. In Unity you can just exploit cover kills. Odyssey punish the player If it's detected, the guards are dumb as fuck in Unity and the Connor era games.
ОтветитьI think syndicate is above unity since you have a stealth ring, you can whistle, carry bodies, get invisible, and kidnap, not to mention that you can use your own zipline to create stealthy paths
Ответитьwhich ac game should I buy for good stealth and good parkour anyone help me?(ac unity or ac 3)
ОтветитьUnity is not that good man. You r really blinded if you think so
ОтветитьThis is my experience. I just got the platinum in unity and always choose stealth first and it always ends the same with a guard seeing me that shouldn't and 15 guards swarming me. Most missions need to kill a guy in a yard with guards all around you kill all the snipers and try to pick off a few to get closer or take a rope and your seen instantly same thing with going in building you try to work your way in with smokes and phantom blades and one guard sees you and the buildings alerted even the roof.and the yard. Every mission ends in a room with around 5 guards including your target throw a smoke in and hope you get em all in time. The idea of what they tried to do is great but the execution was horrible In my experience at least.
ОтветитьIn my opinion it's always about how do you play, I have huge fun with Valhalla, Odyssey, Origins etc
ОтветитьI recently found myself playing Assassin's Creed games that I missed and Unity has become my favorite (even though I'm basically stuck playing solo but if I had a buddy to play with I'm sure that would just solidify the slot even more) with Brotherhood in 2nd, AC Black flag in 3, AC 2 in 4th and Origins in 5th.
ОтветитьI don't find stealth difficult in Odyssey at all, in fact there's even an ability that allows bodies to disappear when you assessinate them so other guards don't find them and start looking for you. I have been able to clear entire forts without being detected, but you do need to think about your approach and where you will move to next, rather than rush in, but that's the fun part about it. Having said that, to me it makes sense that Odyssey and Valhalla's stealth systems would be perhaps less developed, taking into account who the protagonists are: a mercenary, and a viking. They weren't really the most subtle of people, were they? They are warriors, so to me it makes total sense that they would use a more direct approach to fighting rather than a sneaky one. However, like I said, it is perfectly possible to play stealthily with them if you really dedicate some time to think it through.
Also, I never had any issues with the leveling system because I'm playing most side missions and upgrading my gear every 10 or so levels. And no, the game doesn't really force you to play every single side mission, but quite a few actually do add depth to the game and you have to appreciate the tremendous amount of work that the developers dedicate to creating those as well, which is one of the reasons why I like to play them, out of sheer appreciation of someone's work :) These types of games are not really made to rush through them, so I often find that if you're not willing to dedicate 80+ hours to playing them, you're gonna find them lacking.
In my opinion origins has one of the best steath in ac games because it was the first to introduce the eagle to mark enemies and with chain attacks ability you can kill upto 4 enemies and the poinsoin darts are so fun to use but the sleep darts help you a lot with hidden blade assasinations.
Also the predator shot is useful in stealth to kill enemies from a long distance and with the putrefaction arrows you can start the seven plagues of egypt😂😂😂
I think bro just can't be stealthy 😂😂😂 I had no issue with stealth in Odyssey it was a bit harder in Valhalla but with the leveling in Odyssey you literally just have to do side quests and/or lower the scaling there's ways to be stealthy in EVERY AC game
ОтветитьI agree with Unity being the best, but I'd put Valhalla at the bottom because it works less consistently than Unity and doesn't really feel as good as Odyssey, and that's saying something because Odyssey's stealth is Baby's First Stealth System.
ОтветитьA viking game with a hidden blade is fine by me personaly
ОтветитьHey quick tip map your assassination button to the dodge one in valhalla it makes stealth way easier
ОтветитьIf brotherhood is ur 2nd fav
What's ur 1st??
Honestly I would flip your RPG trilogy around entirely. Odyssey you may be an overpowered warrior but Rush Assassination was easily the most broken ability in the game and it was a stealth ability. Able to clear almost entire garrisons without being seen. Not saying its a great stealth game by any means, but I did find it to be the best option over half the time. Only really faltering when you had to deal with the end game generals. So its not fair to say that stealth isnt the best option when the most broken builds were either reliant on Rush Assassination or bow abilities. Honestly warrior was the worst build and made fights drag on longer than they needed to be. Also it paid to at least disable alarms before being seen so you arent in an endless fight and suddenly a whole bunch of mercenaries are surrounding you. There were even missions that had consequences if you were seen so some missions stealth was encouraged.
Valhalla had the instant kill hidden blade and social stealth options, but it did mostly have its designs around raiding which is why its behind Odyssey.
Origins no matter how much you upgraded your hidden blade you werent killing some generals in one shot. Not to mention the sheer grind to make it a viable option in the first place was tedious as all hell. Every target was a scripted event unliike both the other games.
But I agree AC Unity is top on stealth.
