ОтветитьHi there. Quick question. Where do you get your info about all the revision parts and so on ? I have an A4 B8 (that's how I found your channel a long time ago) and the auxiliary heating unit is not working. I have the OEM number of the part (8K0265081G) but I can only find 2nd hand parts on suspicious websites. I would like to know if VAG has a new version of this unit and i am curious where you get your info from.

ОтветитьGreat call on replacing the plastic end of the heater hose. I ended up replacing the whole thing when mine failed on my B6.

ОтветитьHey bud. We r building our cars at the same time.. except mines going to be a forged pistons and rods and ferrea valve train running garrett gtx3582r .63 v band flange turbo.. autotech hpfp. Ecs intake and high flow cat and downpipe. Kw V3 coilovers. 034motorsport solid bushes and street engine mounts. Block decked and bored to 83mm forge pistons.. billet rear main seal. Golf r injectors til i find a better solution for fueling. 044 fuel pump. Pcv delete with 3way catch can. Hpa intake manifold.. high flow log manifold. Brembo 6pot big brake kit and dual caliper rears with 4pot brembos. Lots of other goodies i cant think off my head. Im aiming for 5-600hp. I am going to look forward to how u do. Im trying to get custom number plates. WAR-RSR. My goal is to whipp rs and golf r's. Tired of there fart cannot sounds.. just kidding. No not really.. maybe
ОтветитьI think my S4 needs the oil cooler O rings swapped out. Should I splurge for this kit? Is it worth the extra money? If the mechanic is gonna have all that sort anyway, why not do that now, right? Did jhm get you the kit quickly?
ОтветитьI love this video its giving me much ideas of what my car is doing I was told that my oil cooler is damaged and must be changed I saw some bit of water mixing on the oil cap and it was starting to overheat and always had the battery light on. Thanks keep making more really helps.

ОтветитьI love the videos. I'm in Edmonton too and currently doing my check valves and gaskets. For some reason I received a pack of 5 Valley pan gaskets by Elring. I only paid for the one. Strange.
ОтветитьHey Steve, thanks for making these videos they are very informative and a great insight into what I may have gotten myself into with the purchase of my B7 S4. 😅 I'm curious to know how you went with the thread sealant on the A/N fitting elbows on the block off plate? No leaks I assume? I've used the loctite version of this type of sealant and given some time to cure it works well and allows some movement without leaking.
ОтветитьI am currently in the process of servicing my oil cooler due to an oil leak near the passenger engine mount. I noticed this oil cooler kit in another video and back tracked it here. As awesome as it seems... I can't justify the price. Thank you for the video(s) though, very informative. Currently following your flapper mod and awaiting my poly to arrive.

Quick question: how did the routing for the oil cooler lines and thermostat placement end up working out? I am considering doing this modification to my B7 as well and was pondering reusing the old aux-cooler 'frame' to mount the new oil cooler in the factory location. Cheers!
Hey Steve, How's wrenching and spring? Hope you are well. I am installing my Aux/Rad kit this weekend and curious about the torque you used on the oil bolts for the oil cooler plate at the block? Those look like 10nm/7.8'lb bolts to me... I could not find it on the JHM site.
