12:38am here in idaho, good evening!
Ответитьi'm 50 yo and i say killer and hella all the time. fuck what other people think. lol
Ответить0949 here in the Netherlands. 19 year old collector and i love your vids. Thanks for all the psych recommendations.
Ответить430 am here I cant sleep. Enjoyed it man
ОтветитьGREAT PICKS. I love LZ Presence and agree there are many who dismiss it. My fave LZ is Houses of the Holy so thanks for showing the Australian copy which I have never seen with that artwork. Loving Nick Cave also and Ghosteen is one of the best for 2019
ОтветитьAttila is a fantastic find...definitely a time when Billy Joel got into Deep Purple stuff after his first band. Too bad they have less than two albums worth of material.
ОтветитьAmazin !
ОтветитьThe drummers from Guess Who and ELO are my faves...Jazzy style yet muscular delivery on both bands (also counting The Move with Bev).
ОтветитьColemine has some ridiculous new material. Literally just came over here from “Sentiments — She Won’t Be Gone Long.”
ОтветитьI'm gonna hold off on watching yours until I post mine in a day of two. Best to ya. I'll be back.
ОтветитьJust came across your channel about an hour ago. Love the videos man. You got a new subscriber!
ОтветитьGood morning....✌man love your vidéos.. watching you from Canada..!!!!!! 🥶
ОтветитьGreat tag, man! Interesting choices. Achilles Last Stand is my favorite Zep tune \m/..... Happy New Year!
ОтветитьYou can pick up an original Jerusalem press for about 10 to 40 dollars, not sure about the 500 dollar price tag, someone must be trying to rip people off(must be a discog member thinking it's super rare) lol.
ОтветитьGreat vid, thx
New to collecting. Maybe I shouldn’t call it that. Collectors are all about that OG. I could understand that if the first press was irrefutably the best sounding copy. I myself am intending to keep only one copy per but it’ll be the one with the best sonic quality in my budget .
Hey, if the best one is the original AND I can afford it?? Trifecta baby.
😒 Bitch better be clean though.
Haha
Happy New Year
Awesome! I need that Orang Utan also. Cheers man!
ОтветитьNice video man... Growing Pains AND Murphy Brown on the same LP? Oh, don't ever let that go! :)
ОтветитьA good rock video !!! I do like all that you showed and I white so of the ones you have lol !! Take care .
ОтветитьKiller (pun intended) Vinyl Tag!! Always enjoy seeing the variety you show and talk about. Hope 2020 is a killer (pun intended again) year for you, buddy!! Billy-
ОтветитьThe Colemine label has been awesome lately, sort of taking over where Daptone left off when Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones unfortunately passed. Considering you love the Durand Jones record, DEFINITELY check out Ikebe Shakedown's "Kings Left Behind". Great stuff!
ОтветитьBilly Joel I was told did not want the Attila music to be disseminated. He has made almost 40yrs now of appalling solo music. Attila is pure cock rock, ahead of its time. Not to be played, as music at least, but the cover is high comedy.
Your comment about Beefheart and Cash was odd, to my mind. You might think the former might find the latter less than interesting? Even vice versa.
or 1001 albums not to listen to. Sinatra!
One copy only, sensible strategy, otherwise where do you stop. Save the planet mindset, vinyls are not eco friendly commodities.
ps The kids near me are mostly listening to Penderecki.
It's always great to see you and your collection. Nice choices and thanks for the shout out. Congrats again on the store and I wish you the very best in the new year!!!
ОтветитьJust discovered you’re channel this week!
BEST CHANNEL EVER!
I discovered a lot of new music already because of you. Looking forward to watching you in 2020!
Betty Davis is from Durham originally and a bad ass. Saw Bob Dylan open for Black Crowes. Great show. I have everything Soundgarden on cd but really need to dig into the wax this year. Saw Nick Cave back in the 90’s. That show rocked. Amazing band. Good stuff here man.
ОтветитьGonna grab that thousand album book and lock myself up for a few months! Good stuff!
ОтветитьI love books on music, TV and movies.
ОтветитьHi Dillon. I need that Betty Davis album. I finally got her first one and was blown away, incredible stuff. Attila sounds very interesting. My first Zeppelin album was Presence, still a favorite. The opening of Achilles Last Stand was mind blowing. I have the 1001 album book along with 1001 books to read and 1001 classical music and to you point I have used it to buy albums I was not aware of. Thanks for taking time to do vinyl tag. Steve
ОтветитьGreat video man! I’m new to the channel, I have a lot of catching up to do haha
ОтветитьI need to get a copy of that book just to browse thru it. I have similar other books but not that specific one. I need to check out the Durand Jones, it's been on many fave list.
ОтветитьHey Dylan
Great video and very inspiring for me to get off my proverbial ass and make a VC video!..I have a copy of 1001 albums to listen to before you die..and i agree it was and still remains a great benchmarked for chasing quality albums.take care.🙂
Fantastic showings!
ОтветитьAlright I guess I’ll do one :)
ОтветитьSo my question is, "do the Billy Joel cover bands do any Attila"?
ОтветитьAlways good stuff man
ОтветитьSeen Soundgarden in the thumbnail had to click
ОтветитьEnjoyed it brother! Man, Renegades is such a strong album by Rage...I don't know why I'm lolly-gagging and don't own that on vinyl yet, haha. That was interesting about Nick Cave in that he doesn't wait for inspiration, but treats it like a normal day job. I guess it's still a pretty sweet day job...better than mine! Happy New Year man!
ОтветитьThere is a UK equivalent of the Endless Trip book which was published first , “ Galactic Ramble “ . Same author and well worth owning as it references several under the radar gems. The Dennis Wilson is indeed a killer record.
ОтветитьLoved your vid. We have some similar tastes. Check mine out if ya have time. Cheers.
ОтветитьGreat stuff. Cannot go wrong at all with Pacific Ocean Blue. Incredible album. With you on Presence as well.
ОтветитьGreat set of records!! Happy 2020! And much continued success!
ОтветитьSo if I make a video. And I don’t have a record the fulfills one of the questions. Should I just skip it?
Ответить1001 albums changed my life too!
ОтветитьHere you go - "In 2019, Davis released her first new song, "A Little Bit Hot Tonight", in over 40 years, which was performed by Danielle Maggio, an ethnomusicologist who is a personal friend and Associate Producer on Betty: They Say I'm Different." So she's still around.
ОтветитьJust opened up a booth in an antique mall here in Roanoke Virginia, my goal is to grow it up into a physical store front eventually, you're a big inspiration man, love the videos!
ОтветитьThat Growing Pains is a winner!
Hey, we had a Booker T. & The MGs cover. I dig early Bob Seger. Not soooo much on the latter stuff. I'm holding out for a clean OG Betty Davis. Passed on few represses and a trashed old school.
That Orang-Utan has been on the want list for a minute. Not a Billy Joel fan, but been trying to stumble into Attila.
Awesome list! Just filmed mine about to upload
ОтветитьHay don't break the mold, like the fact you are into old school music Dylan. In fact you and three or three other channels keep it relevant. Great albums by the way.
Ответитьwhere do vinyl tag questions come from
Ответить
