These are only the installation steps for informatica.

What about- how you installed oracle db, downloaded it and configured it.
You directly ran sql plus, atleast tell how you got that???

I can t install, cmd open and close inmediately, dont work anything. Execute as administrator, by the other way work, but in the second step give error and quit.

where do get the information of service name and port name?
i keep all information what you mention in that video i do that exactly be the same?
i will get the database name

sql> select * from global_name;
sql> XE

The connection failed.
Correct the database connection information and test the connection again.

Hi ,i am tried to install informatica in my win 8.1,
I do all setup exactly same as shown in video.i completed half part successfully but after restart the system i start to resume to complete the setup but now informatica Administrator page is not opening. Error massage shown as "site cant be reachable" Please suggest what to do.

Installation was done successfully. But when I'm trying to create ODBC data source to import tables from DB, I don't see Oracle option in the list. Am I missing something here?
Kindly help on the same.

when I am installing the informatica, It is taking long time to create domain and failing with this error -
The domain was created successfully but the domain is not
accessible because the Service Manager failed to start up.
Select OK to return to the installer and then select Next to try and access the domain again.
Select Continue to continue the installation without starting the Service Manager.
You can manually start the Service Manager after installation.
Check the installation logs for details.

Please let me know what could be the reason.

after installing i'm trying to create new repository, but unfortunately i could not get an option create a new repository service as i'm unable to see the option "new" when i click "Actions" : Actions->New->PowerCenter Repository Service. Please help me

Overall good work but have few comments!

Voice is not clear, you are using oracle but you are saying “open sql server” create account.

You do not need commit after you create account in oracle. Commit is required only when you do DML not after DDL.

For domain you created user as info password inf and for repository used infa password rep. they are not friendly naming convention. Informatica has best practices document to name them properly.

You are using version number as part of the service name, it will be an issue if you upgrade to a newer versions in future.

Please let us know why do we need to create 2 new users (info and infa) in order to install Informatica? What's the difference between "repository service user" and "database user" ? Both are on the same database. What is stored where?
