We’ve had our 23 Forester Wilderness 2 weeks now & love it. It handles very well and quite peppy considering it’s a CVT. We traded in a 14 Rogue (no engine issues with it) and it was not as quick. I’m so glad we went the Subaru way.

I just picked up my Geyser Blue Forester Wilderness a few days ago. Honestly, at $38K, it feels like a major bargain. The amount of safety and tech including self-driving mode, the upgraded suspension and ground clearance, the fairly significant changes and upgrades to the CVT, the steering responsive LED headlights with LED fog lights, power tailgate, and front camera make this feel very special in the segment. Could it use more power? Sure, but it feels surprisingly adequate and responsive, thanks to the lower gearing and CVT changes. I love this generation of the Nav system as it still has physical buttons for climate control and heated seats. The only thing on the radar for me is upgrading the tires to Falken Wildpeak AT3 in 235 size. Super happy with it.

wetsuit would also be for rivers like kayakers, and free divers, sometimes sailors.

Thisd be my forester…. if I ever wanted to sell my 2021 F150 with a 335 hp 2.7, proper four-wheel-drive, and excellent ground clearance… Which I don’t lol. But very nice car.

Wish the American version had a heated steering wheel. If I go to the mountains would like one for something that can do some off-roading, but still practical on-road.

Sure wish they'd ditch the fake shift points. Mine clunks around trying to find the right fake gear and for no reason at all. Just let it be perfectly smooth Subaru, or at least let there be a way to turn the fake shifting off.

Test drove a wilderness today. Impressive off-road contender for sure. Currently own a Lexus ux250h f sport and it can’t really go off-road so thinking about this car.

Nice but will wait for the new model. Hope it has better side impact protection than the new Impreza which got a poor in the suv side impact test. Prefer the Impreza if they fixed the side safety.

Remote start should be on the key fob, i believe you press unlock then lock quickly and it activates start. It works that way on our 2018 Crosstrek. Most button start Subarus support this.

Starting the car with a key fob

Quickly push and release the “lock” button twice on your key fob.
Press and hold the “lock” button for three seconds.
Wait for the horn to honk and signal lights to flash. Your Outback should start after this!
Your Outback’s engine will run for 15 minutes before automatically shutting off. Your car will stay secure when you remotely start the engine. Starting your car remotely will activate your HVAC system, defaulting to whatever temperature you set it to before turning your car off. You can keep your car on Auto Mode to improve your vehicle temperature preconditioning, though.

Are you guys in Canada? My Subaru wilderness is loaded with every feature and I don't have a heated wheel. Google says it comes standard only in Canada.

You can also set the cruise control to get the CVT to not fake shift.

Great video! I had seen the regular Forester at a dealer but had only seen the Wilderness online. I was out walking the other day and saw a Wilderness in the driveway of a neighbor. He was nice enough to give me a thorough look see. He said he loves it. I hope the 2023 Foresters will be added to the Subaru website soon so I can get my order placed. The blue in your video is my preference. Thank you!

Got a 2019 Crosstrek Sport here north of Montréal and I have used X-Mode 3 times only over the past few years, standard AWD system will get you 99% of the places you want in winter conditions without the additional settings. Now just waiting for my 2023 Subaru Touring arriving next December.
