Is NOW the time to upgrade? Samsung Galaxy S21 vs S23

Not much of a difference . Decide to hold on to s21. Thanks for helping me with that decision

Swapped it although I think it wasn't 💯 necessary but I guess it's ok since my old phone I'll give it as a present to someone who needs it..

I wanted the better chip set. Also free upgrade... why wouldn't you? In 2 years we may get the BIG jump and ill be able to get a nice trade in value vs what i would get from a 4 year old phone.

You don't know how much I've searched for a video like this. I also own the S21 and was thinking I made the wrong choice but I'll stick to it for a little more.

If your still on s21 series, just replace the battery and you're all set for the next 2 or more years.

I will definitely NOT upgrade to s23. Not even much better but much more expensive. Typical marketing bullsht ...

Im only upgrading because my teen needs a new phone and I could use 256gb instead of 128.. I get s23+, he gets my old s21. ;-)
S21 still runs Fortnite and other games very well. The pics are quite good as well.

The S21 design is so much better to me. The S23 looks so boring and uninspired.

Only battery is weaker on my S21 otherwise pretty much close compared to s23.

I have an S21. When i compared with my brothers s23 side by side. I found bezels on s23 thicker than my s21.

On 5min you show the display, 1 screen is on darkmode and the other on day mode ? Why ?

NEVER buy a phoje in its release year. You will always be paying more than it's worth, like a sort of "novelty fee", just to own the latest toy in the store. I alays buy the phone in its second year, when there's a newer one available. Much cheaper than the newest for an insignificant amount of performance less. Sometimes the old one is even better than the new one bc samsung is constantly removing features from their phones. My old s5 had infrared, my s21 didn't even came with a charger.. I only buy new phones bc the batteries start to become crappy after a few years, but if you stick to the flagship models you're likely to never get lags or performance problems.

Dropped my s21 5g so many times and in water too, and although speakers aren't optimal, everything works fine to where I'm still comfortable watching videos on it. Love samsung idk why ppl hate androids so much. Like keep samsung's name out of it, it's a diff kind!

Dropped my s21 on gravel and was living with a slowly spreading Crack for a year and finally decided to pay the $200 insurance claim for a replacement. Somehow I lucked out and got an S23 instead of a refurbished S21. Bit seeing a lot of difference, except it does seem to operate a bit quicker and more smoothly.

Upgrade after 2 generations? You wouldn't tell a difference, I'm still running the galaxy S8 and I don't think there's a reason to upgrade yet

Im just a bit sad that the display from the s20 waa way better that anything else came since that. 1440p vs 1080p even it doesnt make a lot of difference you still can see it.

S21 is a very very good phone. Differences with last gen phones are not to big in my opinion

I just got my son the s23 he had the s21 before and he noticed the difference in speed between the 2 the games load faster and he’s able to play everything with out stuttering. And for some reason the s21 uses alot of ram

I'M STILL USING MY 4G SAMSUNG S7 THAT CAME OUT IN 2016, MAKING IT 7 YRS OLD. STILL WORKS FINE THE ONLY THINGS MY PHONE DOES NOT SUPPORT ARE NEWER APPS, LIKE THE MY BANK APP. I PREFER SAMSUNG SO I DECIDE TO WATCH A FEW REVIEWS ON THE GALAXY S21 AND SEE IF IT WAS WORTH BUYING, YOUR VIDEO WAS MY 3RD AND SO I WILL BUY IT ON ON WEDNESDAY FROM AMAZON ITS UNLOCKED AND ONLY COMES IN PHANTOM GRAY. HOPEFULLY, IT WILL BE A GOOD PHONE FOR ANOTHER 3 YEARS THEN I'LL GET THE SAMSUNG S23. SO INSTEAD OF WAITING 7 YRS, I WILL BUY A NEW USED PHONE EVERY 3 YRS.

I'll wait for s24 or s25 maybe, I'm still impressed with my s21, love its design

S21 still giving me better and comfortable hands on feel. Because it's lighter and I think plastic isn't that bad at all. Plastic does not break that easily as glass......

I went S21+ since it was second generation 120hz device and that was important for me. Still snappy, good battery, and gonna get Android 14/15 + 1 extra year of security updates.

Literally the only reason I'm considering upgrading from my S21 is the diminishing battery life. This phone has been aging super well compared to any of my other phones. Love it.

I stil have the 20 plus and don't see a real reason to upgrade.

Ouch, that music at the beginning. I thought my chair was creaking and breaking. Then the music was turned up and it was out of tune and out of sync. Yikes, is this what music has become?

I got my 21 last Thursday and im blown away.. i come from rhe s21 FE who got stolen and at first I thought there wasnt gonna be a major difference, but one i got this s21 on my hands the difference is quite noticeable, from the build, the screen and the brightness to the performance and camera. I truly recommended!!!!!!

. My last one I had forever and it was a mess trying to get a new one. This one is acting up so I went ahead and started to make the switch.

honestly it makes me mad. My s21 just broke because of a faulty antenna or something, costing too much time and money to repair.
I got an S23. Wtf is this bullshit.
It's even less of a jump compared to last time where I also had to only jump 2 gens cuz of a broken phone. I was already pissed enough I had to switch phones AGAIN.
Camera is not really better. In fact the ultrawide is worse with less angle. Optical zoom, video res & refresh rate stayed exactly the same.
For my everyday use I legit see no improvement. Phone got smaller with same resolution. Battery is smaller (performance is better but that's to be expected from a new phone). 50mp jump from 12mp means nothing. Just big words to market. They're lucky it already took me over 4 hours to transfer my data otherwise I wouldve returned it asap.
Why do they have to bring out new phones every year? Basically the same repackaged shit with even less functions and more bloatware from one phone to the next. I hope this phone lasts me at least 4 years time because Im getting sick and tired of this marketing. Maybe even my last Samsung after having had only Samsung my entire life.

I just upgraded to the s23 plus from the S10 Plus

I change my phones every 2yrs when contract ends. Phones will still have market value by then, so easier to sell. Top-up & get new mobile with renewed contract. Currently having the S21. Probably will get the s23.

If I got battery problems with S21 after two years then I would not switch to new model from same brand. Epic fail intro.

I have S21 for 3 years phone screen still good and original and i had to replace the back cover black to white as the black case broke i wanted to change to s23 but what was the point phone still good games run smooth im happy with it the amount of money you spend on a phone you will lose value after a year with samsung bringing out a new phone every time the S24 be out next year ill wait to get a new phone when this phone dies or i loose it or i break the screen

If you say the S21 is better you're huffing copium. I just got a refurbished S21 Ultra to upgrade over my Note 10+ but no one can seriously say the S23 is worse and not be kidding themselves.
