I (male) began an MFT program but never completed it because my son was born with cognitive disabilities and it took over my life. Now as he’s 18 I feel I have so much knowledge to pass to other in this parenting lifestyle on how to help ourselves… especially men! Handling our feelings, supporting ourselves and others etc. But… the usual excuse… I have no idea where to start. 🤔

Not only I am a psychologist but also have a few coaching qualifications and still struggling to attract clients. I realize now that it's more about marketing and packaging it all together than knowledge alone....

This was helpful. I decided I help busy, Christian women over 40 lose weight while increasing their faith.

When I told a coworker in a different department I was interested in life coaching she straight up told me to coach her lol. As for a niche, I would have to think really good about it. I will do a course that's broad because I feel like while I'll have to niche down, it's always good to notice signs in other areas of someone's life to build further on. Hell I might start another channel with educational videos like this one sharing my knowledge. The reason I'm drawn to life coaching is because it took me my whole life to figure out how to save money, what my passions on and fighting depression and a low self esteem. I just want to help others overcome their demons or give advice if that's all they ask. I also saw a course on lifestyle coach which I will probably do as well to become more rounded as I've always been interested in a healthy, wealthy, fulfilling life myself

My clients have predominantly been male C level executives BUT I'd love to work with brown executives as a preference, both men and women.
Some days I feel odd and even believe my people are continuously left behind when the people who take advantage of my skills and experience don't normally look like me. But they use me to continue their growth for their companies.

Niching down is essential. I wanted to work with entrepreneurs with a solid track record that are either transitioning industries or starting new projects. Within a month of changing my narrative, title to business performance coach and niche conversation, I landed 3 new clients. They are not only in my realm of expertise, but I feel more fulfilled having conversations and being present with them.
