When I was playing an game, I forgot that it was on low battery & has the same one you had, and I tried it. 1 minute & 30 seconds, it boots up! This helped!

Finally a video that actually works

Sadly this does not work for me. My switch only flashes the low battery indicator then the screen turns off, rather than being constantly on with the indicator. Holding the power switch does nothing as it cannot power cycle (screen shuts dims off second after starting to hold the power switch).

Sad how Nintendo still produces next generation consoles with issues like this. You mean to tell me that if my switch is charging on the dock I can’t use it? They really don’t want us to touch our switch with a low battery. Gotta let it sit for a while and charge a bit because we are little kids to them.

Here we are in Sep 2022 and this is the second time it’s happened to my Day 1 console. But it was just full charge last week, and I always Power Off device instead of Sleep mode it. So it wasn’t depleted for long, and it always holds a charge (and both joysticks work with no slop!) Very odd.

Man same issue but after 5 minutes it works again im not even scared any more this happens every time Nintendo sucks at making battery lifes or any battery the only good battery is from the dsi

After a while it truns on from him self so yeah just looked if other had the same issue or just me

This worked about 2 weeks ago for me (thank you for that), but now I’m having a similar issue with no luck. I have just a black screen. When I press and hold the power button for 20 seconds or so, the Nintendo logo pops up, immediately followed by the low battery indicator in the top left corner. It quickly disappears though and returns to a completely black screen. I’ve done it several times and had the console charging directly with the adapter cable, even with the joycons removed so all charging power can be directed to the console. Help!
