Wow what a stunner. No matter what era though the rules of attraction are always present. Look @ the end with both couples and you can tell from basic body language which female was happy with her date and which wasn't so much.
Ответитьdamm...so shes like 75 now
ОтветитьMen were men and women were women no tattoos no nose rings people were actually attractive
ОтветитьThis is 56 years ago? 🙄
ОтветитьThis was back in the day when even the youngsters were classy. Notice that the women didn't have tats or purple/pink/green/orange hair. The men were dressed in fine suits and treated the women with respect. I truly miss those days. I keep watching these videos because those were the good ol' days. I so wish we could go back there and stay like that always.
ОтветитьSpringfield, MA!
ОтветитьSo nice to see people without all the tattoos and piercings
ОтветитьLoved that he rolled his eyes lol
ОтветитьThis lady is around 80 years old now, that's if she's still alive.
ОтветитьUpon the physical meeting, to me she seem much more partial to #2. I think she would have ranked them 2,1,3. Oops - she picked #3.
ОтветитьI love all the outfits!
ОтветитьBetter than the fictional episode of The Dating Game which also took place in 1967 (also hosted by Jim Lange) where L.A. talent scout Andrew Squigman called a Gary Collins-lookalike ugly as L.A. ice cream salesman Leonard Kozlowski described Squigman as being a modern day Jack LaLanne, only more handsome, causing Lange to adjust his glasses. Squigman then described what he’d do with (really to) his date in honey (cuckoo bleep-filled edits). Oh yeah, we’ll never see the likes of The Dating Game or The Newlywed Game again!
ОтветитьI think I drooled straight through the clip over Micheal, oh my stars! But tell me if anyone else has noticed this watching clips of game shows, and other vids from fifty or more years ago. Does it seem that people were far less aggressive, or maybe overtly and obvious at being self interested? I've been watching clips like this for years, both on here and on the Internet Archive. Everything from random interviews with ordinary folk on the street, to game shows and whatever else you can find. Also, I've over a thousand aircheck recordings which are audio quality recordings of radio stations. They were made to periodically listen in on the outgoing signal to make cerain the audio qulity was good. Most of mine are pre 1980 and as far back as the 50s. And I've noticed the same difference in people's attitudes. It would seen as time moved forward that people became hyper aware of being on a tv or radio show however breifly and began to try hard to make as big an impression as possible. Where as now you can watch a simple review of a product on Amazon and swear the reviewers were trying desparately to sound like professional spokespeople for late night infomercials or something. I find it a bit unnerving actually, as if we've lost the ability to just be people, wanting instead to be celebrities or someone important. Any one else notice this?
Ответитьbro, Michael Allgood is a super dope name! He's such a cutie too

ОтветитьI'm surprised. I thought she would pick bachelor number one.
ОтветитьElenore Rigby for the bumper music???

ОтветитьThat Michael was a cutie. I loved him from the second his face appeared on the screen - that adorable crooked smile. Loved his sense of humor. I would have chosen him too. 🤍
That Donna was gorgeous. She seemed smart and sweet too. Hope they're both doing well. I'd love to hear how their date went even though it was 54 years ago. I was born a few weeks after this episode aired. I love seeing things from that time period. So fun!!!
