I was diagnosed with a brain tumour 20 years ago, there was plenty of times before my diagnosis when there was no painkillers in my parent's house or even my grandparents house. Once when I was at my grandparents house my uncle suggested massaging my temples, it didn't really work though. Christmas eve just a few months before I was diagnosed there was no painkillers at home, my mammy or maybe my daddy (can't remember exactly who? Lol) suggested using a bathrobe rope around my temples, and that actually helped me get to sleep. Just tie it around the eye's and tighten it slightly obviously not too much, and once u think the headache may have eased enough remove it. I actually had to do that last night and well it done the job lol
