Do you still need earplugs if you have a full-face helmet?
ОтветитьI’m sorry what?
ОтветитьI wonder how good noise canceling earbuds would work for riding.... they suck for half helmets because the sound of the wind rushing past them is very loud even at only 40 km/h (about 25mph or so, i don't know, I'm Canadian).
i got a set of concert earplugs from my local music store. They let you hear the music cleanly, just at a lower volume, so it should be good for riding, too!
My vitacci 250 gtx efi is eye candy.
ОтветитьJust started on a z400, can attest I was surprised by the acceleration it can produce, and as a beginner it's reassuring to know I can let loose and have fun without putting on waaay to much speed accidentally.
ОтветитьCars always win is the most important moment. You really do nothing but risk your life by trying to settle the score with the car driver.
Ответитьhey papa yam
ОтветитьI wish somebody told me that cold wind still bust your knees. Wear proper pants 🎉
Ответить"car always win"
That something every instructor should insist on. Then I was lucky my instructor insisted on that and stuff like "never trust others on the road" and "don't put you in situation where your security don't depend on you".
I’m a new rider and the self conscience comment hits home. I have a KTM, added bonus is orange is my favorite color. My bike, jacket, and helmet are all orange and black. I want to be visible but I also feel like other riders are like “Who tf wears all matching gear?”. Eh, I’m protected, comfortable, and having fun.
ОтветитьHey Mr. Noob. Great video series you have here. I always watch every one that comes out. Really entertaining and informative.
But just a thought, can you produce a video that address riding pillion. You know, 2 up with passenger and the additional luggage required to keep your passenger happy. How riding with a passenger changes the whole geometry of the bike, additional weight and how your passenger can cause unexpected handling issues. Anyway, just a thought.
What about a mullet?
Ответитьso a full face helmet is not enough for the wind noise for the ears? you need earplug with a full face helmet?
ОтветитьRiding zen is key
ОтветитьIm picking up a 91 fzr600 its missing its fairings but ngl it looks pretty bad ass looking like a street fighter bike i do plan on getting fairings i can also get r1 fairings for it both look sick af with the early 90's livery
ОтветитьI kept forgetting to wear earplugs for the first few months, started though because having to put them in sucks but having tinnitus sucks a little more.
ОтветитьAs a former Naval Aviator I can attest to the fact that wearing ear plugs actually helps you hear BETTER in a noisy environment. They block out all the background noise - engine, wind, etc. - and let you concentrate on what you need to hear. Having said that and having worn earplugs EVERY time i flew, I still have significant hearing loss at 68Hz which is the frequency my aircraft's engines put out. Spend enough time in a noisy environment and you will have hearing loss. You will just have less if you wear earplugs.
ОтветитьI lost complete hearing in my right ear after riding home from work one night about half a year ago. Wish I’d known this sooner
Ответитьsomething
ОтветитьAll really solid points..thank you for these. Ride on the safe side boys and girls ! Bless up.
ОтветитьI don't understand making fun of people on beginner bikes? It's like making fun of overweight people at the gym?
ОтветитьWhen other riders ask about what I'm doing in the very back of the group. It can appear extreme.
Those who know me respond, "Oh, he's just practicing. 😊🏍
62 years riding.
In France they don't stop to say us to wear earplugs before getting a licence
ОтветитьAdding to the beginner vs "advanced" bikes, I came into motorcycling and was told at MSF that 250s or maybe 500s are the biggest you should ever go to start, but they didn't explain the difference between sport bikes and cruisers. I ride a 750 Shadow which is a "big" displacement engine for a sport bike, but I've done about a 6-7 second 0-60 on my bike. A 750 sport bike is probably more on the range of 3 seconds at that size. Cruisers are like the pickup trucks of the bike world and I thought I was doing bad getting a "big" 750 for a first bike.
ОтветитьCan a GOOD helmet with ear muffling substitute plugs?
ОтветитьAll of these videos are very helpful! I must have watch 10 of them over the past 2 days. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience with a nice touch of madness. 😂
ОтветитьHi from the comments, could you link part 1 in the description for those who had this video suggested or found it
ОтветитьI have a 1970's honda dirt bike im currently working on restoring. I have never ridden before would you suggest that be a good starter bike?
ОтветитьI have a cbr300r. The amount of people who have come up to me and asked if it was the 600. One even asked if it was the fireblade. I’m not joking. All were very surprised it is only a 300. A kid came up and asking if it was a 600 one time. I said 300. And because I was leaving at that time. I let him have a rev. I like making kids days. And maybe they’ll get a motorcycle later in life
ОтветитьBest rule of thumb he who has the most lug nuts always wins.
ОтветитьAs far as coolness, I'm 99 v star 650 being bobbed and airbrushed gets a lot of attention.
ОтветитьI noticed this driving spiritedly in my BRZ with the windows down. I wear hearing protection for a lot of things now, even mowing the lawn. It’s worth it
ОтветитьI’m a beginner and will learn the basics on a 125cc dirt bike than jump straight to a 1000cc bike lowkey scared now that I’m seeing this video
ОтветитьEar plugs should be in the tool pouch of all bikes. Another thing is gloves. Good comfy flexible tough gloves.
ОтветитьEarplugs and buttplugs!
ОтветитьThere’s something wrong with the audio on this video it’s low and muffled
ОтветитьI couldn't agree more with the hearing protection, guy dont realize how quick it can effect the ears!
ОтветитьI recently got a Ryker 900 Sport... it's a three wheel motorcycle, so I'm a little nervous about the judgement or how I'll be perceived when riding. But I love it so far and I'm having so much fun with it!
Ответитьim starting on a 636
Ответить33 db is the highest you can go.
ОтветитьI spent the first 15 years of riding without ear plugs and my hearing has been damaged (tinnitus is a bitch btw) but now I always use them and I wish I always had
Ответитьyup, I developed tinnitus from riding, it was too late when I found out, although I consistently used headphones with music on, still got it and it sucks , in retrospect its almost worth it, I had the best 2 years of my life whenI first started riding.
Ответить@YammieNoob, honest question: Are earplugs still needed if 95% deaf? I'm legally 95% deaf and wear a cochlear implant and going to be on a bike for the first time this weekend.
ОтветитьFrom 100cc to 150cc I think I'm evolving 😂
ОтветитьDang these tips were freaking awesome. I’m buying in MT 07 next month and your channel has been incredible for teaching me things that will make my life easier. You might have also given me knowledge that can save my life.
I’m excited to make videos of my writing that give me up ice and I’ll make sure to share that with you
I already have tinnitus
ОтветитьAlways! Wear your plugs!
ОтветитьHaving swapped both factory tires on my first bike for S22's...
I feel vindicated in having no money 🔥
