easy the best mission on this game, as a fellow who came from red dead 1, this mission feels like some brotherhood vibes that the first game don’t gets us
ОтветитьI mean the whole game is a masterpiece
But this part is just
I don’t have the words
This mission sometimes has you thinking... Was Dutch lying and manipulating everyone all along? Or were his intentions with the gang and his care for them genuine before he went "crazy" or the mask came off, whichever it was. He's made to look like he genuinely cares for Jack's welfare and reuniting Abigail and John with him. It looked like the entire gang cared, yet the ones who seemed to care here sided with Dutch in the end. Who saw Javier and Bill siding with Dutch? Definitely not me, at least with Javier. He's such a mysterious character. Aside from that, this was my favorite mission in the game. The soundtracks, the bloodshed, the unity of the gang, the epic ride to the manor and how the battle started, all the way down to burning it to a pile of ash. This mission was a masterpiece. Felt so badass strolling up to Braithwaite Manor with the gang
ОтветитьJohn, i need you to stay calm🙃🤠
ОтветитьMiss braithwaite; you killed my son Dutch; o and I'll kill a Menny more
Ответить“You killed my sons!”
AND ILL DO IT AGAIN
Fine, I’ll play Red Dead 2 again 🙄
Ответитьi also noticed something which im not sure if it’s intentional, but while the gang is riding to the house you are automatically put last and dutch on the front while the other 6 are lined up together, this is also how wolves walk in packs, the leader in the front leading and the second strongest wolf in the back to watch the pack’s back in case of an attack
ОтветитьThis entire mission is like a Tarantino movie and I love it.
ОтветитьMasterpiece
ОтветитьI love the cruelty that Dutch shows Mrs Braithwaite, since she's literally a former slave owner and current day child kidnapper. This is one example of Dutch going just far enough. It's even more layered knowing Dutch's father was killed by southerners in the civil war, leading to his grudge against the elites of the former confederacy.
ОтветитьI used express ammo with the winchester and the bolt action rifle, both cattleman with express ammo and the upgrade tommahowk
ОтветитьThis sounds sadistic but i really enjoy hearing ms. Braithwait scream and cry. That woman does not deserve life.
ОтветитьI think this is the best mission I’ve played in any game ever
ОтветитьHonestly my favorite mission
Altho I have a few favorites
A pretty walk in a town and a tbis
Kidnapping: ❌
Robbing and murdering an entire bloodline, wiping out a 120-year legacy: ✅✅✅ 🤌🤌🤌
“Get down here now! You inbred trash”
One of the best lines in RDR2.
Spoilers for much of the game:
A lot of people say this was Dutch at his peak, but this situation was just what Dutch knew best: revenge.
Without the good influences on the gang like Hosea, Dutch and the gang just really couldn’t function that well. Compare what the gang did at the beginning of the game vs the end. At first it was thought out, well executed, heists and robberies. The gang would quickly move if there was any serious trouble. Then at the end of the game, the gang is resorting to blowing up random train tracks and attacking the army.
I think this mission really juxtaposes well with the mission where Dutch kills Leviticus Cornwall. Here, this is only sparked on after they capture jack, a literal child, and refuse to hand him over after they ask for him back. In the Cornwall mission, Dutch just walks up to Cornwall, half-heartedly tries to make a deal, and just shoots him in broad daylight.
It makes this mission almost sad. This clearly just enables and empowers Dutch’s bloodlust, and I think it’s telling that this mission marks a shift in the gang’s violence. After this, they do a similar thing to Angelo Bronte. Clearly, Dutch is trying to replicate this high, but as the gang will find out, you can’t solve your problems by just shooting everyone.
The gang walking up to braithwaithe Manor in a line, fully geared up, under a full moon is the most badass moment in the entire game to me.
ОтветитьDutch before guarma was a real one
ОтветитьThis is a real life location in Louisiana it’s called the oak alley plantation
ОтветитьDid racism die
ОтветитьOur son 👍
ОтветитьBest ..mission .. ever..
ОтветитьThis was such a badass mission. Holy shit that was awesome. You could just feel the anger, the conviction and the power of the van der linde gang as they slowly approached the manor on foot. Anyone would be scared shitless from that sight alone.
ОтветитьUsed lock on. Wow what a noob.
ОтветитьWhat horse?
Ответить"Im going to need you to stay calm"
Two seconds later
"GET DOWN HERE NOW YOU INBREED TRASH"
One of the most BADASS Scenes in all videogame history for sure.
ОтветитьEvery time I play or watch this I get instant goosebumps. The music, the dialogue and the visuals are just so amazing
ОтветитьJosea deserved to live forever
ОтветитьThis and the oil place scene are the best thing ever they way arthur and his friends side by side walking
Ответить“I’m gonna let it fly at those sons of bitches!” Chills man
ОтветитьOne of THE greatest video games of all-time.
Ответитьthis gang could have defeat the entire rdr2 army
ОтветитьThis mission so good, I played it fourth times, watched video 75 times and came two times!
ОтветитьMasterpiece of gaming history 😢
ОтветитьI also think it adds a lot that you can go back after the mission to see Catherine braithwait’s body laying in the wreckage
Ответитьdutch goes from “we will save your son” to letting jack become an orphan / go without a mother
ОтветитьIm playing this game for the very first time (yes i know im late 😅)... but man! What a f*cking game. I thought The Last of Us was one of the best games I've ever played but Red Dead 2 definitely takes the crown.
A masterclass in gameplay, story telling, the music, the characters... all beautifully done.
Bravo Rockstar!
Dutch still want to risk his life to protect Jack at this moment. Can’t imagine what changed him to be act like that in the last chapter. By the way it is really sad that Sean dead just before this mission, it should be much more perfect with him fighting with the rest of gang members
ОтветитьCrazy to the very end. Burning herself.
ОтветитьPretty sure Dutch has dead eye too
ОтветитьI'm ngl, the guarma arc is very underrated in my opinion. The fight where you have to defend the fort and sink a battleship had me shaking in my chair after the ship sinking, and being marooned, imprisoned, escaping, and so much more. I found that whole sequence amazing
ОтветитьSurprised they not made a movie yet.
ОтветитьI wish that the player was able to help the gang burn the house down. That would be awesome.
ОтветитьThis mission was my moment of, "holy sh*t, this is a real game."
ОтветитьEverything about this mission is simply amazing. The drum beating as they ride through the forest, the vocal piece as they approach the mansion, and the moon in the background. So subtle yet hauntingly majestic. True masterpiece!
