Why Was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare SO AWESOME?! And... BAD?!

Looking back at this now. This is the first cod to start the copy and paste to save money when making a new cod look at Mw 2019 vanguard mw2022 mw 2023 is all the same. Same menu layout the only thing mw23 did was not have your solder walk around like hes scared to get ambushed.

I think Infinite Warfare has a brilliant campaign and zombies. The multiplayer was detailed but a bit boring and the story side missions could have been a bit more interesting. Overall, a decent game 😀🎮

Linearity is perfectly fine for me or else we end up with those POS open-world levels like MW3. I think the plot was just fine for what it was trying to accomplish especially with all of the new features of a campaign (zero-g / boots on the ground). I think the story was phenomenal and emotional

and with the loot system... no way it's worse than BO3

The Runescape music and Halo references. I love this haha. There are vehicles in this game that look a lot like those in Halo.

I remember playing the zombies of this game when it came out when i was like 11 zombies was a blast dont remember the multiplayer though because I didnt play it often

i think that a well thought out sequel to Infinite Warfare that addresses the issues that IW had could be a seriously good game. I thought the campaign was fun and that it set everything up really well for a second game, but sadly it never came.

Infinite warefare is more playable when compared to advanced warefare because advanced warefare is a blurry miss and textures are clear on Infinite warfare

Sorry Act Man but I believe David Mason is the highest ranking playable character. In the last mission in BO2 he’s referred to a Lieutenant Commander, which is an O-4 in the USN and USCG. Lieutenant Junior Grade and Lieutenant in the Navy and Coast Guard are pay grades O-2 and O-3 respectively

Infinite Warfare was the closest we’ve ever gotten to The Expanse. Minus the Protomolecule.

Honestly the Campaign looks pretty good 👍 just wish they explored the plot better it just seems to be too predictable and at some points it feels like what your doing does not tie into the plot maybe they should try this game again

Better campaign, same multiplayer, worse zombies. BUT BO3s campaign was so bad I think that makes it worse than this.

The maps looked like they were not made with the “advanced movement” in mind

IW wasn’t overly too bad the story was cool and the zombies wasn’t half bad

I think why this resonates so well, is that the plot is Character-centric(like anime), vs plot-centric(like traditional superhero stories).


The multiplayer is dookie. And the only complaint Ive had is that they shouldve made another game in this universe, but as a coop pve/pvp model. But the story was really good, and needing to know the exact motovations of john snow(you do learn them…. Eventually) isnt necessary at all. Because the story isnt about the SDF vs UNSA. Its about Captain Reyes, about how you choose to let him lead, about the individuals you have around you and how they are all actually people and the weight of their lives are in your hands. Its a really good story.

I have a Tin-Foil Hat Theory that: the reason why CoD has been so awful and generic in the last 6 years is because Activision wants to back to this futuristic shit. They want to cut out all the standalone titles and just focus on two franchises, the narrative driven plots with MW + BO and all their innovative ideas can be explored with this “Future Welfare” franchise

I can't believe a sci-fi futuristic COD completely flew under the radar for me. The overall idea sounds absolutely amazing imo, especially after years and years of bland formuliac COD games. I just bought it and I'm downloading it now to play the campaign.

Ah yes infinite warfare, the last cod my dad bought, the only way he would play was to just play the campaign, finnish it, maybe replay his favorite missions once and then just move on from it.
Remember when that part would always be simple and fun in cod games?

CoD: Infinite Warfare has an incredible multiplayer with atmospheric maps and a high skill ceiling.

I have a confession, I LOVED all of infinite warfare yes even the multiplayer. Every time I’d come back to cod I’d go to this one and enjoyed every minute of it

(Side note): am I the only one who thinks Reyes looks like a genetic fusion of Tom Cruise and Rob Lowe

The campaign for Infinite Warfare and Titanfall 2 were amazing and still some of my favorite ever. Multiplayer not so much

Honestly this COD wasn't that bad. Not the best but the campaign was great. Zombies was meh but it was good enough for me to enjoy it. Multiplayer was just a worse version of BO3, but I still had fun with it. Personally I found it more fun than modern COD. It was nice to be able to see what I was shooting. I miss those times.

everytime I look back at this game it just SCREAMS wasted potential, if the game didnt have the the Call of Duty name attached and wasnt being pulled on by the strings of activison, the game couldve been special. Being a huge fan of titanfall, i love sci fi shooters done well. Infinte Warfare was ALMOST there.
