Also wouldn’t dividend portfolio pay a lot more in tax?
ОтветитьDoes the reinvested dividend amount already subtracts the tax?
ОтветитьNobody can become financially successful over night. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.
ОтветитьDo you have a video on tax implications when investing in S&P500 vs dividend ETFs over 30 years? I’ve been trying to research more about this
ОтветитьBest div stock?
ОтветитьHow does it turn out if you reinvest your dividends after you take out the taxes?
ОтветитьYes, looking retroactively is quite easy. You need to define objective criteria for picking your stocks and then back test that over all time points, or at least a good distribution of all of them.
ОтветитьYou forgot to apply the 4% rule here to the spy holding.
ОтветитьI like the reit stocks cause they pay monthly
ОтветитьYou lose a pretty big chunk of return paying taxs on those dividends year after year.
ОтветитьMisleading video. A few dividend stocks were cherry picked and compared it to the S&P. Historically the S&P will out perform in the long term.
ОтветитьYou picked only 5 stocks for your modeling portfolio? Why not and equity income fund over that time.
Nobody has the guts to pick five dividend yielding stocks and hold them for years and years
Divy stonks… lol
ОтветитьThis video alone deserves a new follower 🙏🏼
ОтветитьWhat would your tax amount be the day you are 75 and take this investment out?
ОтветитьSandP?
ОтветитьDividends are taxed everytime we get them though. Is that in the math?
ОтветитьToo bad we couldn't invest in stocks and realize their past returns. 🤑 The question is, "What does the next 25yrs look like?"
ОтветитьDo you just have a dividend stock account only or do you also have a sp 500?
ОтветитьWill you still be tax when you reinvest your dividend in SP 500?
If yes, isnt it like we pay tax twice when we sell?
Will SCHD can do something like that? In a Roth IRA?
ОтветитьGreat Knowledge but just subscribing cus damnn man, you did put in that work in this video. PROPS TO YOU SIR
ОтветитьYou are not calculating the tax paid for the dividends. Even for the qualified dividends, 15% or 20% percent is huuge
ОтветитьThanks! 👍
Very useful video! 👍
I love vtsax
ОтветитьI think S&P 500 will give better returns than dividends.
ОтветитьHave you ever modeled FREL? VNQ?
How about some REIT ETFs?
💯
ОтветитьWhy aren't you taking taxes into consideration here? Higher dividends = higher taxes, no?
ОтветитьWhat a great content. U change my mind and my plans with pure facts. My initial plan was invest all in QYLD and then reinvest in other stocks. But after watch your content. Its clear that isnt the better way to start. Thank u so much new sub here and grettings from medellin. Colombia
ОтветитьAs per your instructions--Quality Dividend Stocks will win.
ОтветитьThis was the video I was looking for. Subscribed and liked.
Is there an etf that tracks like the kings dividend stocks for us? and how would those results compare wtith a model we chose of 5 or 10 dividend companies??
I’m new to excel. Do you happen to have a video creating this sheet?
ОтветитьSCHD VS SP500??
ОтветитьYou said average Joe would have the results of $_____.00 increase. You failed to mention how much tax the average Joe would pay in tax on the dividend annually. If Joe is reinvesting all of the dividend back into his portfolio would it not mean he is putting money in from his pocket since that is where he is getting the money to pay the tax? Help me understand this. Some years I have paid over 30% income tax. Where would that put me on tax bracket? Would it be a better analysis if you factored in taxes on dividend to get a real world view as to which is better?
ОтветитьThis is an honest, good-faith question; not an accusation: how did you choose the 5 stocks for this exercise? Did you just cherry-pick 5 stocks that performed best? Why these 5 from all the possible options?
ОтветитьI don't know how the math works here but if it's correct, your content here is such a valuable contribution. Thank you. :)
ОтветитьI’m guessing s&p 500
ОтветитьAmazing content! I learn so much from your teaching. What account do you hold your dividend portfolio in?
ОтветитьMy like is for that spreadsheet! Well done
ОтветитьIt's a false choice. It's better to invest in value oriented stocks with exposure to size and profitability factors. Dividends are irrelevant and actually harmful in a taxable account for high earners.
ОтветитьI subscribed... Very informative videos 👍 Which platform do you use for your dividend portfolio?
ОтветитьI’ll stick with the S&P 500 for the growth stocks. 2M is enough for me.
ОтветитьAwesome.......t you for sharing
ОтветитьAm I missing something or shouldn’t you be comparing an S&P 500 ETF to a High Dividend ETF? I’d like for you to do a comparison with 5 stocks (Apple, Disney, Microsoft, etc) to your 5 Dividend Stocks.
Ответитьgreat video. just curious why you chose those dividend stocks and not all aristocrats or kings?
ОтветитьDividend quality stocks
ОтветитьI just subscribed. I am in my early thirties and feel I have very far behind on my retirement. I want to push into dividend stocks but am very wary of the market. Especially now with so many companies overvalued. I'm not sure if I should buy in or wait till a market correction. What do you think?
ОтветитьDo you think the next 35 years will produce a similar result? Would love to also see against QQQ, because I'm curious if you think something has changed in our society where growth stocks and innovation is going to produce better results, provided you know when the hell to sell growth/tech stocks! I sold TSLA in 2019 to generate cash for a remodel, ouch. But I think I would have probably been out well before even the 5:1 split. So I think long-term market growth is a safe, smart bet. Maybe not as sexy, but I have enough capital now in my later 30s to start focusing on retirement in 25 years, as well as building generational wealth for my little girls.
Great video!
