I hope you or someone with an answer sees this lol. I am new to using racelab and I was wondering what you do with you default iracing blackbox?

Good video, but I don't see any display of car numbers in this overlay, which renders it useless junk and a complete waste of space. Racelabs, get your shit together.

So.. There's one thing I noticed that I don't understand. If this is supposed to replace your UI.. then where are the pit adjustments and in-game adjustments?

I love the way this all looks, but if I have to use both my black box AND the relative/standings overlays here... then I'm kinda forced to just go back and use the black box instead.

Outside of streaming... I can't see how it's rational to use this.

This was in 2021. Is race lab still your go to ? You are hard for me to keep up with so it's a great thing that I can backup alot it's all on me not you just saying ! you have helped me so much, I have so much more o learn as well. Thank you very much for the videos you do for us.

Hello, to put the overlays with iRacing in full screen you have to do the following:

- In the graphic section of iRacing, uncheck the full screen and border boxes

- Put see maximum 63 cars

- Alt + Enter for full screen

- High + Tab, here you choose all the overlays you have selected.

Is it not possible to run this over the game running in full screen mode?

So with this overlay app is that all it is or can I utilize my base shakers with it or do I still need some hub for that

can this be used for a broadcast in a commentary booth for league racing or is it more for in car yourself stuff?

Hi David, great review mate. So I'm guessing I can put all the overlays on my second screen as I'm not a streemer. I'm in an ultrawide too so having the overlays on my top screen would be a great help as the iracing ones can't be moved on to my other screen annoyingly. Thanks again👌

I wanted to use Racelab to use it in VR, but no way to activate the software.
Do you have to pay the subscription to be able to use it correctly?

I wanted to upgrade to the PRO LEVEL
but they will not take Payment from Pay Pal
They require you to make a new account with some other payment system
So I guess I will not get there

David when you reviewed kapps to pop automatically on iracing start up can you do the same with this. I have tried with no luck and I use this app.

I wish they do a life time membership instead of monthly... so its almost 60 euro every year for it 🙄🤔

I love Race Labs and am a subscriber. The layout builder is fantastic. I use the flat map, I think its better than a track map as it takes way less screen space. I have it running along the top of the screen. I have everything on data blocks and have everything exactly where I want.

how can you use it fullscreen?

Don’t know if I missed it, but is there a way to auto hide the overlay in replay mode?

how do you change the speed from kph to mph on the advanced panel?

I can't load my over lays without tabbing out of iracing then my game is stuck with task bars showing. Help me please

hey David - I had the same issue with the overlays not always opening.... so I messaged the developer on Discord.. he said to not use iRacing Manager to close the app - it closes the overlays before the main app and so when it reopens it doesn't save the settings of what was open before...

Would like to know how it works in VR if you get the time,

If i want a overlay on my ipad. it doesn't work when i use a QR code.
I want to use the standing overlay on my ipad. does anyone know the solution?

Brilliant video David useful app to have but I have a couple of issues and I do t know if you can help..... so in full window mode I cant see the overlays and two my fps seems to dive but can 125fps easily when they arent on

I love seeing your videos, always alot of info but not too much. One feature I would love too see in RaceLab is the ability choose what order the info in relative and standings are shown.

Nice video. Once I have my upgraded PC (damn graphics cards) I'm definitely going to start using this. Looks very useful for endurance in particular.

Ive used SDK myself for almost a year now and this is definately making me think of switching to racelab apps. The only thing i wish they had which i didnt see from your video that SDK does have is an actual map of the track showing car numbers etc on there as id prefer that a lot more than the flat map personally

I have quite a basic set of overlays and utilise the standard iRacing black boxes too. I'm not a fan of having loads of gimmicks as i want to keep it more sim. Racelabs used to be ok but i got put off with the attitude towards the paid app. I went Kapps and haven't looked back

Did enjoy using Racelab as a Driver but then when trying to do some broadcast style streams the standings box would constantly vanish from my screen, so have switched to SDK Gaming as a result

thank you for showing our app and explaining it! thumbs up one feature that was missed is that you can create multiple layouts for series/cars/categories which i personally really like to be able to have different layouts e.g. openwheelers and GTE.
for the payment part: it seems that more features are locked than they actually are. you cant change them, but you can actually see them!

Nice overview David! It is a great addition for any racer, suuuper easy to install and run, many customizations available and new things come out regularly!
Also I can confirm the radar feature for 1 screen users has been a game changer personally! It came out just before the Daytona 24h and man it was useful indeed!
