Ever since LinkedIn came out with it's new weekly connection invite limit, I've been trying to find ways around it to make sure we're still able to consistently generate leads using LinkedIn.
So far, I've come up with a few strategies that have worked well - sending a message campaign to current LinkedIn connections, using software for sending LinkedIn connection requests, etc. (check out the videos above).
But this one I found the other day just doing some research and absolutely love it.
We're basically just creating a list using LinkedIn Sales Navigator like we normally would.
Only with this LinkedIn InMail strategy, we're segmenting the list based on whether or not the lead is a LinkedIn Premium Member or not.
If they are, we save them into a leads list on LinkedIn, and then send an InMail message to those people without having to be connected to them.
This is great because for one, we don't have to worry about the LinkedIn weekly connection invite limit with this strategy because we're not sending connection requests.
Second, we don't have to wait for people to finally accept our connection request in order to send them a message.
Also, we get A LOT more characters we can send in our message PLUS a subject line, which really helps us stand out in the inbox.
Versus with a connection request message, we only get 300 characters and don't have a subject line.
To me, this is a no brainer.
At the time of this video, you're allowed to send about 800 of these InMail messages per month as long as you have an active LinkedIn Sales Navigator account.
Who knows if and when LinkedIn will ruin this for us as well.
But for now, take full advantage and get back to generate leads on LinkedIn!
