Poor Jan. Her mom is always getting murdered.
ОтветитьJulie Harris!
ОтветитьDon’t waste your time watching this. Awful movie.
ОтветитьI love the old cars, they were works of art back then
ОтветитьChristopher George and Barry Sullivan were also in THE IMMORTAL (1969).
ОтветитьGuess in the 70s they hadn't figured out not to walk across the blood covered floor, tracking up the evidence.
ОтветитьI had to laugh at the food prices on the Receipt that the cop had in his hand, ah the days of yesterday when food was so affordable.
ОтветитьWhen they made this into the tv show, they should’ve kept Christopher George as Dan August, not recast the role with Burt Reynolds.
ОтветитьLove this old classic
ОтветитьThey should have let Janet Leigh play more roles like this earlier in her career! She had to be sweet, trusting, happy, angry, heartbroken, and beautiful as well. Christopher George did an amazing job with his role as well. All of the actors and actresses did great. Great story, flashback scenes, powerful subject, sexy and scandalous, with a great twist ending. The director did a great job with this one. One of the greatest TV movies of all time! No one who sees it ever forgets it.
ОтветитьThank you for posting an old film noir that is easy and enjoyable for Baby boomers to watch.👏👏👏.I loved the quality.!❤♥♥
ОтветитьQuin Martin
Hollywood schlock
Good movie very much ahead of it's time.
Great actresses and actors. Director wonderful.
That was a cracking film, Christopher George and wife Linda Day always good to watch when they act together. It is shame she retired from acting after Christopher's death in 1983.
ОтветитьOnce you saw Jan it was pretty obvious the killer was Marsha, Marsha, Marsha. Funny that the cop was married to the stoned receptionist in real life.
ОтветитьHey look Jan brady
ОтветитьOne of the best TV-movies of the late '60s, with an all-star cast and twist-ending that surprised me when I first saw it. Produced in 1968, the Network sat on it for two years. Possibly, they thought it was too frank and gory (all that blood) for 1968 audiences. Then the gruesome Sharon Tate murders happened in '69, and suddenly this movie became 'topical' and was broadcast in early 1970. So nice to finally see a sharp print with good color, and all scenes / dialog intact - not hacked-up for TV, as I've seen so often in reruns over the years. This became the pilot for the 'Dan August' TV series, starring Burt Reynolds. But I think I would've also preferred Christopher George in the series.
ОтветитьI saw this when it first came out and was totally blown away by the ending. I've always thought of it as a kind of 70's noir, if you will. Been a fan of Christopher George ever since. Thank you, Dave, for presenting this one. 😊
Ответитьgetting his finger prints all over everything...
ОтветитьThis movie came out when I was 8. My mom loved this movie. I could never understand why. Now I think I do, because she could relate. She was a bleach blonde, hairdo similar, clothes the same. It was like watching my mom on scene. My dad had a good job, and nobody got murdered. But this is my mom's story. ☹
