Air pockets is a poor term

The nose of the plane probably goes up to 17 degrees at most and that’s only till 1,700 ft and they have to put the engines into climb detent

In 2019 I flew to Bangkok and to my surprise an off duty pilot still in his uniform was sitting next to me. As it was a connecting flight, i had to fly to Kolkata first, that was were the off duty pilot was supposed to get off from the plane. So during the flight, we got talking and he told me so many amazing flying experiences that he had during his career. He also told me about a lot of touristy places I could cover during my trip. We exchanged numbers and throughout my trip he guided me to the best malls, pubs etc. Till day we are friends and keep in touch. It was a very memorable and once in a lifetime kinda experience for me. 😊
