Tip 030 - Scale Composition Script in After Effects

I keep watching these videos and they all miss the step that I need: I cannot access that menu, my File > menu isn't the same so something needs to be selected I am assuming? Nobody covers this.

When I do this, everything works great, except for the camera and lighting. Anyway to scale those proportionately as well?

Also, do I need to scale the compositions within the main comp I scaled?

This does not work if you only want to change the height. For example, when making previews for apps, the iPhone XS needs 2688 H x 1242 W, but the iPhone 5.5" requires 2208 H x 1242 W. The scale composition script locks the scale, so when changing the height, the width changes as well. =(

Hi! I only have vector materials (150 layers) and I want to update from 1080 to 1920, but when I do this and press scale nothing happens... I use After Effects CC 13.5

Hello. I'm trying to really rescale projects down from 1080p to 720p and 360p. The script only rescale (it change only the real size for the final render composition, then it scale down to X% but it doesnt change the real size of the compositions so 360p and 1080p both renders takes the same time. Is there any way to really change all the compositions and solids size without scaling down?

This is convenient. But I guess once we do this, we still have to raise up the resolution of non vector materials. So planning is important.

Hey Sergei, this will work perfect for quite simple comps. But how would you approach that if you where using complex FX/Plugins like Element 3D or Trapcode Particular?. Scaling the layers with this script would only "blow up" the pixels and give not a better resolution. Also I am not sure if the 3D layers / Kamera in AE will get translated correctly. What do you think?

Interesting. I always would parent everything to a null and just scale the null, which isn't too slow, but this is even faster.

How long you are using aftereffects? Since when?

Brilliant keep them coming! Question: Is the a node graph plugin for AE so you can see the layer relationships like with NUKE? Having used NUKE AE can get really complicated really quick when looking at layers and comps with comps...especially when you get a file from somewhere else; it's a nightmare to review.
