How do you change the size of the cubes, if my hexagon was cut from and 1/4 inch strips, how do I calculate the correct triangle size for the cubes?

Thank you for your demonstration. I love this pattern. If I enlarge the hollow block, the fill in triangles around the outside then would be the length of one of the sides of the triangle?

Love your directions. Could you show how to cut this out from jelly roll strips. Am fairly new to quilting and have quite a few strips to use in projects.

My first attempt of baby building blocks, was about 38years ago, and it was all done by hand…
