He's a good fit for the Rockets. Best of luck to him! I do hope we sign someone like Torrey Craig or trade Tillman for someone else who can bring some more scoring for the stay ready group. Love Tillman in interviews and I like what he brought last year but he doesn't seem to have taken steps forward this year.

For what its worth, he fits on an Udoka team much more than a Mazzulla team. Hope the best for him

Great points by both of you here. I agree with Sam using him for a salary dump was dumb. Just feels like they are giving up on his potential. Even if it does save money why trade for him last year then? But like Jack said it was always the Celtics plan and with the recent resurgence in his play makes it more gut wrenching. As a fan of his game and his potential I hope that he gets to find an opportunity in Houston or the next team he is on and I know you will be cheering him on to Sam! A 6'7 SF/PF veteran with playoff/Championship experience like Torey Craig makes sense as a buyout candidate. He can give some quality minutes rest to JT and JB, plus gives a defensive presence off the bench. In Brad Stevens I trust.

Rafael Stone should be FIRED! In two years, this is his biggest in-season trade to date. We sat and watch our targets dissappear in Fox and Rob Williams.

Both of those guys could have been had. Especially Rob Williams. Stone just sucks at making a trade deal. He also over-value his assets and has poor taste in talent.

He doesn't go for the athetic, long types. He go for the sturdy, unathelic types that doesn't move the needle for us.

And it's been 2 years...really 5 years where Stone has not made a significant in-season trade since Harden. We was suppose to trade for a Superstar last season. Then he pushed it to the Summer of '24. Then he pushed it to this trade deadline and all he got to show for it is Springer??

He’s not a good shooter nor a rebounder or shot blocker.. We didn’t really need him when we got JD DAVIDSON as a good 4th PG.. The open roster slot is vital to acquire another wing // rebounding tuff guy .. we should get rid of Xman too

It’s not out of reason to think Celtics and Rockets meet in finals this year…. If so this could bite the Celtics or help them also. There’s always a lot of irony in sports and it often plays out against probability.

The Cleveland game might have clinched Springer's exit in that the Cs showed they could combat the Cavs guardline without Jaden's on-ball defense.

I'll be curious to see if the Celtics elevate both Peterson and Davison to full contracts.

We chose not to re-sign Grant because he wasn't a major part of the rotation, we chose to trade Springer because he makes $4m & wasn't going to be a major part of the rotation.
