I Investigated TikTok's Scariest Surgeon..

There's a reason they're not posting "fully-healed" results. I mean, some of those peoples are locals which they can easily contact. There is one healed result on their page but keep in mind that's 1/93. Perhaps they know it'll get engagement? But then that would be bad marketing because if they're posting odd-looking surgeries, they would be getting bad press which is already happening in real-time. Some people say that they'll look just fine after being fully healed but if that's the case, then why would a professional plastic surgeon, Dr. Youn, clearly not agree with how they look right after surgery? Out of all people, you'd think he knows best about all stages.

guys it takes time to heal and what he’s posting is showing them right after surgery and they do have other videos showing there final results and they look WAYYYY better💀and people get surgery at many ages and surgery is to make people looks different . People might want it bad just because the surgery came out good in their eyes. I understand people are beautiful just the way they are and they definitely are but many are insecure and try surgery and are happy with the results because they want to fit the standards in Asia. I know we are all different people but if many want to looks so, then they can just like americans like kim kardashian and others.

i appreciate the amount of info gathered about the situation, but i would like to add additional context. i feel like this video is just very targeted on this specific account, or facelift trend, when i think the bigger picture overall is actually even creepier, because this isnt a one-time unfortunate incidence.

first off, the results of the surgery don't actually look that botched. they look uncanny, strange, and unrealistic, but i would argue that the procedure was done well (even if the outcome isnt tasteful or natural). the foreign western patients i think look even stranger because the surgeries are designed and practiced on asian people. ive seen other western patients of asian doctors and they also have that off foreign-procedure look.

secondly, this isn't new. east asia has some of the harshest beauty standards, and south korea is sometimes called the capital of the plastic surgery industry. ive remember watching a short about a foreigners experience there, and she explained pretty well. they make everyone look the exact same. big eyes, stretched face, no nose, and the sharpest anime chin and jaw. im not even gonna start on the body standards. the phenomenon of chinese trends along these lines have been seen before too, such as their drastic filters and those beauty transformation compilations. sometimes they strive towards these standards so much it to the point they just looks alien-like and lacking humanity.

i think this occasion just manages to portray the horrors of these effects and ideologies to an already concentrated problem that needs to be addressed world wide about aging and beauty.

Dude you're making a big mystery of something that is not a big mysterious at all.... Exchanging in this case means he teaches/shares his techniques with other doctors that want to learn from him.

Regarding to how the patients end up looking after surgery 1- bear in mind they're still recovering, 2- beauty standards in Asia are not the same as ours! This isba cultural thing, every Asian girl wants to look like that. If not surgery they use make up, prosthetics and a bunch of shit to achieve the look. So if they can might as well get it permanently done.

Also your research on facelifts was kinda short. The more well known surgeons in USA charge up to 60k for a face lift, 40k something for a trifecta lift.. so ye. ..

40 yo here who has had aesthetic procedures and considering a facelift. tbh, these are pretty normal looking 7 days to 10 days in. the skin will lax as it heals and the results will be more natural. my guess is that his audience are ppl like me, who know what they are looking at from a medical \ aesthetic pov. as for dr youn, i wont put much stock into wgat he says, he lost alot of credibility over the years trying to chase online clout. case in point: making a negative reaction video, knowing full well that is what some facelifts can look like in recovery.

Not only do the results look uncanny valley, but they are so freaking photoshopped. You don’t look like that after just 7 days of a facelift, you rather look like you lost a boxing competition. And your pores don’t magically disappear due to a facelift. This is all so freaking fake — I really hope those patients didn’t end up looking like in the fake videos, but can live a happy life.
