Have a M3 Max MacBook. Only getting 120hz on this monitor. Went through all the settings and no way to get 240hz. Have the MSI 321URX also and get 240hz without issue. Colors also appear better with the glossy display. Going to return the Samsung, as compared to the MSI its bloated with too much software.

Matte, dim, poor build quality, feels like a toy, huge external brick. Nope.

The matte coating is not bad at all! Had the ASUS pg32ucdm and got this test since it was 300 bucks off. Needless to say returned the asus and kept the G8. Greater bang for your buck and don’t have to deal with seeing my reflection all the time lol

Regarding the cooler, there's some people on Reddit saying the backside of the monitor is getting really hot, like so hot you can't touch it. Does your monitor feel the same?

Buy the g6 360hz if you are into competitive fps gaming, its amazing.

I feel like you got paid to talk positive about this, since you really didn't talk about any downsides such as the common purple/red tint in many scenarios, no kvm, poor color display in Windows but good in some games. Are you running default video settings? Samsung doesn't support Dolby Vision in any of their TV's or monitors, they went with HDR10+ instead so this was no surprise.

matte and no USB-C for one cable connection to laptops are instant deal breakers for me

samsung doesn't add dolby vision to any of their displays, including tv's. it's a shame.

One Question : is the back hdmi board steady ? Cuse i heard many that complain that the ports are not steady and all the board moves when u connect the cable

Does anyone else get like 25-30 blank screens in and out for like 30-45 seconds when you first start your PC? I have 2 monitors and only the G80SD does it. Connected by DP (with a 2.1 backwards compatible cable) and and G Sync enabled via Nvidia control panel

It would have been my choice if it weren’t matte and if Samsung offered a 3-year burn-in warranty like others.I’m now leaning towards the Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2, which has the same panel but is glossy so picture looks better. It costs the same but includes a 3-year burn-in warranty.

Very nice review. You mentioned RTX 5000 series... could you tell me if this monitor is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC. Its specification only mentions FreeSync Premium Pro. And what does it look like in practice with G-SYNC, does it support this standard?
